Pet care experience
I grew up around pets! We had bichons, boxers, a yorkie, and two calico kitties. Then while teaching after college, I began pet/house sitting professionally. I have been caring for pets for over a decade! I moved from Atlanta to Chicago in May, and have been pet sitting for friends while working toward other career goals. I’m comfortable working with both dogs and cats - young, old, and those that might require special medications/attention. During my stay, I will also take good care of your home! This includes general upkeep, watering plants, and changing bedding before I leave. :-)

Sarah is absolutely wonderful! Our two cats were so relaxed and barely excited to see us when we got back—probably because Sarah was such a good sitter! She also left our home in perfect condition. We loved the daily photos and regular communication. We will definitely be reaching out to her in the future with any cat and house sitting needs!
Sarah has been our pet sitter for a few years. She is always my first choice when we are traveling. Our pet situation is tricky - including an aging dog and two cats that do not get along - but Sarah has risen to meet all of our challenges. She is dependable, kind, responsible, neat, and responsive. We have needed her help for week-long house sitting, overnight visits, and drop-ins. She cares well for our fur babies and the house is always left in great shape. We trust her completely and highly recommend her.

If the dog tends to be aggressive toward people or other pets, please let me know this as well. *Just a heads up— I love big dogs, but am not open to working with any larger dog that is aggressive toward people.
A typical day
Depending on what your dog is used to, we can go for a walk, play at home, or hit up a local dog park. If your dog prefers to snooze all day or is more comfortable at home, that’s fine, too — we can keep it relaxed. :)

Availability
I have a flexible, part-time schedule right now. I teach a few classes in the mornings during the week/some weekends, but am typically able to adapt my daily schedule to a routine your pet is comfortable with! I’m available to house sit weekends as well as weekdays.
