Pet care experience

I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking since I was 16, and I have available references. I was also briefly a veterinary assistant at a veterinary hospital, and I own a senior dog.

Sarah walked my dog, Chelsea, for me. Sarah would always tired Chelsea out on her walk, Lehigh made me sleep better at night. Chelsea would always get so excited seeing Sarah.

Sarah is the best person to watch any pet! She is responsible, trustworthy, and caring. She has taken care of my 8 year old Yorkie many times and has always proven to be a great person and dogwatcher. I would recommend Sarah to anyone :)

Sarah is an amazing caregiver of animals and an amazing woman. She has a true love of all animals and a kind heart. She has watched my dog for years and has slept in my home overnight. I fully trust her to take the best care of my pup who I adore as if she were my 3rd child. I fully recommend Sarah to anyone looking for an over night or daily walk. She’s the best!

I am currently only looking to pet-sit in owner's houses. I can play with your pets outside, and do anything else you may need me to do with them!

Information Sarah G. would like to know about your pet

It’s always important to inform me in advance about where cleaning supplies is (just incase), where towels are incase it rains, and any medical issues your dog may have.

A typical day

Throughout my time dog sitting and working in veterinary medicine, I’ve learned how important it is for a dog to exercise and get their energy out! Running around with your dog in the backyard usually helps them sleep better at night. Whether it’s playing fetch or keep away, they always have a good time playing. Also it’s nice to take a dog somewhere interesting to hike, such as Blydenburgh Park in Smithtown (which also has a dog park if your dog likes to socialize) and Avalon Nature Preserve in Stony Brook. My own dog is a senior and can’t do big hikes, so I take her to smaller parks like Sunshine Acres in Commack just to jog around in circles so she can get a change in scenery, rather than her usual street walks.
