Hello! I'm Sarah. I just finished my master's degree at the University of Southern California in May, and I've been enjoying my time out in Los Angeles. The most difficult thing about being out here is being away from my family (I'm from Illinois and they're all back there), including my dog, a schnoodle named Bilbo. We got him as a puppy, trained him, and raised him, and now he's getting up there in years. I never thought I would want a dog — I had a terrible experience with giant, loud dogs when I was a small child that scared me away from them. Having Bilbo, who is a small dog, taught me a lot about how to deal with dogs in general. I know it takes a commanding voice and a gentle hand, and that the unconditional love one can get from a dog is one of the greatest things to come home to. While I can't take dogs into my own home at this time as I live in a pet-free apartment, I am great with them in their own space.
