Animal loving Animal Science Major

Pet care experience

From the day I was brought home from the hospital I’ve had a furry companion. Throughout my life I’ve grown up with a dog by my side every step of the way. I began rescue work at the age of five, volunteering actively with Basset Hound Rescue of Southern California where I worked as a child tester. Even at such a young age I understood dogs on a personal level and could read them enough that the organization trusted me to be around their animals. As I grew up, my responsibilities also grew, until I became the dominant leader of BHRSC’s adolescent volunteers. I assisted in my mother to train her Rottweiler, who is her Emotional Support Animal. He is also in the process of his Therapy dog training to achieve his certification to work directly with Veterans. Since I was young I’ve been watching the neighborhood dogs while their owners were out of town. This includes, but isn’t limited to a deaf Great Dane, an aggressive chihuahua mix and an excitable German Shepherd Lab mix. Leaving is never an easy thing to do, even if the destination is a picture of paradise. Your best friend is staying behind and you’ll always wonder what they’re doing and how they are. I know exactly how important your dog is to you, believe me. I’ll tell you everything and answer any and all questions you may have on your furry sidekick. You’ll receive adorable photos, random videos and all the updates you can handle over call or text. A dog is more than ‘just a dog’. They’re a best friend, they’re a shoulder, they’re somebody that sees you through the highs and the lows of life. At least that’s how I see my dog and I’ll look at yours the exact same way. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. ** prices may fluctuate based extensive care requirements ** ** required vaccinations for all services provided: rabies **

Sarah was great! She came right on time both times and sent me lots of pictures to keep me updated. My pup loved her!

Sarah was clearly very committed to taking care of my cat Koko! He has to have meds twice daily and every visit I got a photo update and notes on how he was doing, if he was eating well, etc. She even made some suggestions for products to try out to see if he likes them. She was very communicative the whole duration and gave my senior boy lots of love. Would absolutely book with her again!

Sarah was great with our cat Boops. She even met with us before the date just to be sure she understood how to get in and to meet our cat. We will be sure to use her again in the future!

Information Sarah F. would like to know about your pet

I’ve no breed, size or gender preferences. Though I hope you don’t mind A LOT of questions. I want to know anything and everything I can about the dog. Below is a list of the general questions I ask, though I will ask more as I obtain more information on the dog. 01) Is the dog up to date on all their vaccinations? If no, what vaccinations are they missing? 02) How does your dog react to new people? Are they good with kids? If so, what age groups? 03) Is your good with other dog? Does your dog have size, gender or age preferences? 04) Does your dog use something other than a collar to be walked? (i.e. harness, gentle leader) 05) Does your dog pull while being walked? If so, are they allowed to? 06) Is there anything that your dog doesn’t like or that makes them uncomfortable? ( i.e. water, vacuumes, wind, thunderstorms) 07) Is your dog spayed/neutered? If so, was it recent (within a month)? 08) How does your dog react to intact males? 09) Does your dog display any signs of aggression? If so, what provokes it? 10) If you have any other animals in the house, do they get along well or do they need to be separated? 11) Is your dog on any form of medication? If so, how often do they need it? What is the procedure you generally go through to give them their meds? 12) What’s your dog’s favorite toy? 13) What is their diet like at home? Are they allowed to have human food or is it strictly kibble? 14) Has your dog had any form of surgery? What caused it? Is there anything I need to be on the lookout for? 15) Is your kennel trained? If so, how do you get them into their kennel?
