Pet care experience
Aside from owning dogs and cats over my lifetime, I have also been a dog walker and pet sitter since I was 12 years old. I also spent 4.5 years as a veterinary assistant in Solana Beach. As a pet owner and pre-vet student, I love animals and know just how precious our pets are to our family. I am comfortable caring for all dogs and cats, big or small. I’m additionally experienced with more medically challenged pets and am capable of administering any necessary medications. I’ve had a lot of experience handling large/rambunctious dogs and love being able to help out with high energy pups. As someone who has needed a sitter for my own dogs and cats, I know how much trust is placed in the caretaker to treat your pet as good as you do and I strive to provide an amazing experience for both you and your pets.

It was great to have Sarah to look after my kitty for a week. She took a good care of my furbaby while I was away. Sarah is very friendly person, easy to communicate with, and she clearly loves pets! My kitty approved her straight away during our meet & greet. Sarah was great at sending detailed report with photos and videos after each drop in visits. I love being able to spend time with animals so, as long as your pet is comfortable, I spend as much time with them as possible. For pet sitting, I make sure pets have access to food and clean water as well as outdoor playtime if possible. Unless otherwise requested, I typically take dogs out twice a day in the morning and evening for walks/runs. For dog walking services, I am happy to walk or run your pet as far as you’d like up to 3 or so miles.

I’m fairly capable of handling most any situations with your pet but appreciate knowing any specific concerns you have regarding their care ahead of time so I can plan for a great experience. I have experience with medical and behavioral issues so all I ask is a heads up.
A typical day
I love walking, hiking and running with pups! A personal favorite of mine are beach walks but any outdoor movement is a blast. I love being able to play with dogs so if your pup/s are fans of fetch or tug etc I would happily do so.

Availability
I am currently employed at a vet clinic in north county San Diego, I work MTWF 8a-6:30p with an hour break sometime between 12p-1p that I am always happy to use to check back in on pets. Thursday and weekends are completely open and I can be around as much time as needed.
