Medical student seeking puppy time!

Pet care experience

I've owned a dog or a cat my entire life. Though my family has stuck with German Shepherds, I've pet sit dogs and spent time with family members' dogs ranging from the size of Chihuahuas to Mastiffs. I spend a lot of time studying, so I love any excuse to get me up and active; taking a study break to walk your pup would be a great option for that! I only have class until noon most days, so I would be happy to give your pet attention after that. I was on Rover in college, and the long term relationships I built with my clients and their pets was a huge part of my undergraduate experience, so I’d like to continue that in med school!

Safety, trust & environment

My goal is to provide companionship to your dog in a way that’s as close to their “normal” as possible. If they usually play in the yard, I’ll do that. If they aren’t allowed in certain parts of the house, I’ll make sure they don’t break that boundary. Everything is up to you.

Information Sarah D. would like to know about your pet

Before meeting a dog, I would like to have a general description of their demeanor. Are they a dog that is going to want to jump around and play? Are they more likely to prefer a relaxed walk? Any medical information is obviously important to know beforehand. Everything else can be a surprise!

A typical day

I have a dog friendly vehicle, so I’d be down to bring Fido to a park for a long walk or a game of fetch. I’m also comfortable entertaining in your yard or taking a few laps around your city.

Availability

I have class starting at either 9am or 10am and ending at noon almost every weekday. I’m an early riser, so I’m available for morning walks before class and afternoon walks before I jump back into studying. I’m looking for every opportunity for a little pet therapy to get built into my schedule, so I’ll make it work!
