Pet care experience

I have experience with my own personal pets: cats, dogs, fish, chickens; I have taken care of friends’ and neighbors’ pets like Guinea pigs, dogs, and cats throughout my teenage years. I also have worked at the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium working with larger, more exotic species! I’ve learned about training, animal behavior, and caretaking throughout my life and time at Penn State studying Wildlife and Fisheries Science!

Sarah was an exceptional sitter. Her prior experience taking care of cats made me feel confident that my cat, Ginger was in good hands. She kept me updated every day by sending pictures and videos showing how happy and comfortable he was. I would definitely book again knowing that he was comfortable and that he was well taken care of.

Sarah was available last minute to watch my cat again and my cat has fallen in love with her! I will always recommend Sarah to check in on your pets, she has the magic touch!

Sarah was available last minute to check in on my cat, Peppermint, and she was on time and my cat loved her! Peppermint is super skittish warming up to people but she was so excited to meet Sarah and immediately came out to greet her. I would recommend her to anyone with shy or skittish animals because she seems to have the magic touch. Will always use Sarah!!!

Sarah handles pet tasks with love and care. Large dogs are handled equally well as small when playing, walking and feeding them for Sarah. She's administered medications, cleaned ears, bathed and other pet tasks. She's a hard worker on top of her fantastic care of pets. You'll want her on your team.

Information Sarah C. would like to know about your pet

I like to know the dogs energy level, comfortability with other people, and how long I can step out of the house that is comfortable for me, the dog, and the owner. I am a full time student and Tuesday-Thursday I have on/off classes. I want to make sure if I am sitting or watching a dog long-term, I can still comfortably go to my classes for short periods.

A typical day

I enjoy walks around my neighborhood! If dogs like socialization, a quick walk to campus has lots of smells and people. Or, I can walk north along campus to the Arboretum or the residential neighborhood I live in that is quieter. Back home, I have a large room and shared space the dog can freely roam. If the dog likes lounging around, I don’t mind! I have comfortable furniture and rugs the dog is more than welcome to.

Availability

I am a full time student at Penn State and also working at the local Trader Joe’s. I have a bunch of pets back home in Pittsburgh and I miss them dearly. I figured pet care would be a great way for me to have that animal connection while still being a student and employee elsewhere!
