Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of dogs and cats for my neighbors since I was 10, I was raised as a young child with cats in the home and have always loved dogs, so much so that I joined the AKC when I was 9 and studied dogs breeds and training to try to convince my parents I was responsible enough to have a dog of my own! I’ve always loved animals and have owned two dogs and two cats of my own. I’ve trained all my animals myself, and have been hired by friends and relatives to train their new pups too! I feed my pup twice a day (am and pm) with treats in between. I currently have a 22 month old chihuahua/basenji mix who is well trained and looking for friends to join us on daily 2 hour walks (one in the am or one in the pm). My pup is currently chicken free so all treats and food at our house have no poultry. Because of my living situation, I only do pey-sitting in other peoples homes—I’ve got a very territorial cat at home! I love being outdoors, so your pup will get plenty of outdoor playtime with me and Edna—we do a total of 11 miles a day of park walking!

She never showed up, didn’t answer texts/calls, and we had to rework our travel plans.
Sarah was great! She took our dog on lots of king walks and adventures during housesitting. She went above and beyond when she was willing to stay an extra night after we had a flight cancelation. She kept the house clean and took good care of our fur babies!

I give my pets my full attention during walks/play time and even while I’m working I keep a close eye on things. I have a fully fenced yard, and I work from home so I’ve got lots of time and energy to invest in animals in my care. When pet-sitting in your home, I will stick to the schedule and routine YOU lay out, as I said I am highly flexible and able to adapt easily to new schedules and situations. My hope is for my pup Edna to stay with me at your home—but this is not a requirement, so please don’t let that deter you from reaching out! We enjoy daily hikes in carkeek park and discovery park—Edna is great off-leash when legal and in dog parks, but we like to do our own things and I know she would love to have some new friends join us! For extended care, I do stay in the home with the animal overnight, I will do dog baths at least once a week, clean up poop and hair prior to your return, obviously keep the house in good order and other grooming as necessary.

Please let me know if your dog has any special needs, behaviors I need to be aware of, how social they are and what level of training they have (specifically their recall abilities). I will not let your animal off leash except in designated areas!
A typical day
I love to engage with animals and get to know them personally! We will play their favorite games, have plenty of time for treats, scratches, play time and snuggles! We love carkeek park, Lincoln park, Kabuto Gardens and discovery park, golden gardens beach, and more! I’ve lived in seattle my whole life and since getting my own dog I feel like I’m experiencing the city all over again—we like to try new parks all the time! I’m basically just like a big kid when I’m with animals and I will treat your animal with the love and care they deserve—as if they were one of my own animals!

Availability
I am currently in school, changing my career, so I am very flexible! My pup Edna and I walk twice a day, everyday and because my courses are self-directed, I have a lot of flexibility during the day. I am able to off pick up and drop off if you are near my zipcode, 98117 and likely could come up with additional arrangements upon request if you live more than 25 miles from my home.
