Kind hearted and trusted dog-mom

Pet care experience

Hey there! Trusting someone with your fur baby is a big deal, and I’m here to help! I’ve been taking care of a variety of animals all of my life, and started volunteering for animal rescue groups as young as 10 years old. I have experience with as few as one at a time, all the way up to 16 at a time (during rescue/fostering). I currently have two fur babies of my own, but am available to love your pet while you’re away or unable. I have local clients that hire me to watch their pets regularly because they know I provide a loving experience for the animal, not just a supervised time in a crate. I truly love animals and have always enjoyed caring for them. I work from home, with very open availability especially during the week. I’m flexible with cancellations or last minute schedules. I rarely go out of town, so long term set scheduling is fine, but I’m also able to handle individual days if needed as well. I have two 15lb fur babies that are easy to get along with or will stay in a separate room or their own crate to give your baby their space if requested. There are four children in the house between 8-15 years old that would love on your pets if you’d like, but understand boundaries if not. We have a grassy fenced in back yard plus a lovely family neighborhood that’s great for walks. I work from home, but even that is very flexible so I am available all throughout the day to care for your pets as much as needed! We are a blended family of two adults and four children. I am available all day for multiple walks in a pet friendly neighborhood. We have two long haired dachshunds that get along well with other pets once introduced appropriately, as with any new animal in a new space! :) Though they bark at new people, they warm up to animals MUCH faster! We have removal gates throughout our home, to create barriers away from the entryway etc, and are accustomed to ‘runner’ dogs that try to sneak their way out (we take every precaution to not allow that!). We do allow pets on our furniture to let them feel more at home, but always respect the owner’s wishes if that is not allowed!

My dog is very energetic and has separation anxiety. Sarah and her family took really good care of her. Sarah sent updates and pictures. It made us feel alot better about leaving her. My dog came back home happy and fell right back into her normal routine. I highly recommend Sarah.

Sarah took care of both of our cats for us and treated them like family. So much better than boarding them in a stressful place. We will definitely use her again!

Thanks so much for taking care of the pups while we were gone! It’s nice to be able to relax on vacation knowing your dogs are in good hands :)

Safety, trust & environment

When I care for pets, safety is top priority always, but I do aim to keep your babies as calm and comfortable as possible. When they are in my home, I allow them to use the space freely as my own dogs, and ensure they are getting everything they need and then some! When caring for them in their own homes, I follow their lead and stay attentive to what they may require. I am available to give medications, I understand bathroom habits vary from one animal to the next, and have the patience to maintain that calm environment I strive to provide!

Information Sarah C. would like to know about your pet

Because I have two dog of my own, even when they’re not around, I may have their scent on me, so I like to know how friendly or how anxious your baby may get. Any information about what your pup likes or dislikes helps, and if he/she has any triggers for both positive and negative behavior. Every dog has its own little personality, so the more you can tell me the better we can bond!

A typical day

Family oriented neighborhood with plenty of space to enjoy frequent walks. Also have a comfy couch that fur babies are allowed on, and sometimes the kids are home during the day for extra special love and attention!
