Pet care experience
I have always had pets in my home! I wouldn’t be who I am without my strong connection to animals. I have worked with dogs in at least three previous jobs. My husband and I have fostered many dogs and cats of all ages. Somehow, pets seems to love him even more than they love me! I’ll allow it.

We are party pet people. We love dog parks, regular parks, and camping trips with our own two pups. I am huge on mental enrichment so they get homemade frozen “pup-sicles” and lots of treat puzzles. We practice new tricks when they’ve been inside on a rainy day. Anything to keep their brains from turning to mush. Every pet I watch is different. Every time I visit is different. I am really great at reading pets and I can always tell when they need a little extra love. I’ll cater activities to their needs. I have yet to watch a pet that didn’t absolutely love me by the second visit!

No one is going to know your pet better than you! I’ll be a close second though! Tell me what you think might be helpful. Some examples: Does your dog like company? Do they prefer some peace and quiet? Do they watch TV or snoop on the neighbors? Do they have food preferences? I love to make them as comfortable as possible!
A typical day
Enrichment is at the center of my care. I am VERY familiar with the stress-pacing and big eyes your pet might get at the sight of you packing your bags. You are their whole world! I want to engage them in their favorite activities while you’re away so their stress levels stay as low as possible. It’s harder to be worried about mom and dad when they know my visits mean cuddles, treats, play time, training, park visits, car rides, or walks in the neighborhood. Every pet is different and I’ll keep them engaged in something different each time I’m there!

My current availability is somewhat unstructured and quite flexible. I will occasionally tag team with my husband to cover drop in visits that might occur in conflict with my schedule! I am not currently enrolled in any classes so my schedule is open!
