Playful, Patient, and Prepared!

Pet care experience

Hi there! My name is Sarah and I've just moved to Boston after a 3 year position in Marketing Management in Baltimore. I've always been happiest around animals, particularly dogs, and over the past year, I have become an experienced dog sitter and foster mama (3 rescue dogs, all adopted!). From age 8-20 I served as the main caretaker of a precious beagle named Misty. When she passed, I would pet sit or house sit for my friends, both for their benefit and my own! I currently live in the quiet neighborhood of Mount Vernon with three parks directly across the street from me, perfect for playtime and walks. Even though expense inhibits me from permanently adopting a dog at this time, I know I can provide a warm, loving home for a short term stay. On a personal level, I am very detail oriented and would have no trouble following schedule guidelines to keep your pet feeling comfortable.

Sarah came on short notice to meet my pup and sent photos. She was on time exactly and stayed the full half hour with her. Much appreciated!

Great and reliable!! Came to walk my standard poodle while I was at work for a week! He liked her immediately.

Sarah is a wonderful dogsitter! Graley was so well taken care-of, and loved seeing the daily updates of play time and my happy pup. Will definitely contact Sarah again if/when needed!

Sarah went above and beyond taking care of our dog! Our dog developped a GI bug during her first day with Sarah and Sarah went out of her way to take care of her- making her rice to help her diarrhea, taking her to vet, giving her medication. Sarah really loves dogs and gives very conscientious care!

Information Sarah B. would like to know about your pet

Breed preferences are pretty important, as I live in an apartment complex. Small and medium dogs are welcome. My apartment is a 1 bedroom and VERY spacious, with an enormous couch for a bigger dog to sprawl on, but I would need to seek additional permission for Large to XL canines. Most importantly, I should note that I have a full time job Monday through Friday late afternoon. I can be home all day Saturday and Sunday with the dogs, but during the work week, I would need to leave them crated or, if house trained and behaved, free roaming from about 10 AM-5 PM. Despite this, I am still able to come back home to give a walk if that is a necessity for you and your pet!

A typical day

I would treat a dog as I would any visiting guest: by taking them to Brewer's Art. Kidding about the pint, but I would make sure the dog was well entertained. Walks in the dog park, strolls in the Inner Harbor, games of fetch and tug of war are all part of the package deal, come rain or shine. In the nicer weather it would even be great to have permission to take more active dogs on a walk in a nearby State Park, though that is up to your discretion! As I said, I'm incredibly detail-minded, and there would be no worry of the dog not receiving the care he or she needs.
