Medically trained dog lover

Pet care experience

Life long dog owner and lover. I can’t have a dog of my own at the moment so please let me care for yours Full time availability and flexibility to care for your hairiest family member. I enjoy long walks and cuddles on the couch (but only if your pup is allowed up). I am more than happy to take your doggo into my home, but only if he/she is cat-friendly, since my boyfriend’s cat Ilene is the queen of the household My medical training is in care of humans, but don't worry many of the skills overlap. I can administer medications and will be able to give your pup the specialty care no matter their needs. I will treat your dog as member of my own family while under my care.

Sarah is a gem. She is personable, is great with Brody and taught me how to be a better puppy owner just by how well Brody was with her. I am a repeat customer and totally recommend Sarah!

Sarah was great with our pup! Zsa Zsa was immediately comfortable in her home. She provided us with great updates throughout Zsa Zsa’s stay.

Sarah is amazing!!! She always is quick to respond and great about noting any concerns that she may have. We have used her several times and will use her again soon. We are always pleased with her and the way she takes care of our little pup.

TERRIBLE DOG SITTER. Please read and think twice about choosing Sarah to watch your animals. We hired Sarah 5 months ago to watch our two large dogs for a weekend while we went out of state to visit family. We have a dog camera in our apartment that Sarah was aware of, so we felt comfortable leaving our animals in her care because we'd at least be able to check on them while we were gone. We were shocked at the things we saw on our dog camera, and what should have been a relaxing weekend away was spent stressing about the care of our animals at home and debating whether we should re-book flights to come home early. I am saddened that people like Sarah continue to receive 5-star ratings, while animal owners remain unaware of what's really going on while she watches their pets. When we returned from our weekend, I decided not to write a review. We were so furious with our experience that we decided we would just de-activate our rover account and never use this service again. But today I saw that Sarah has recently received a negative review from another family who had an awful experience with her, and their experience was almost identical to ours. I feel the need to share so that other people can be aware of the type of care they should realistically expect if they hire Sarah to watch their animals. Sarah Invited her boyfriend over to our apartment (he spent the entire weekend there with her). When you are paying someone to house sit and provide a service, the last thing you want is to watch them invite their boyfriend over and use your apartment for their own enjoyment. Sarah spent most of her time napping on our couch for hours, completely ignoring our dogs. I have never seen anyone nap as much as much as her. She paid very little attention to them, and when she wasn't napping she was with her boyfriend. I specifically asked Sarah to walk our dogs separately since they are both 100 pounds each and it's too much to handle for one person to walk both (even myself). This was really our only deal breaker, and I pretty much begged her to please walk them separately. I explained that while it's a bit more work and takes double the time, we would really appreciate it if she could walk them separately because they tend to get excited when they see other dogs on walks and it would be very difficult to control them and potentially dangerous for her to walk them at the same time. She agreed to these wishes and assured me they would be walked separately. She even asked if I would be okay with allowing her boyfriend to walk the dogs, and I said that I did not feel comfortable with this because I had not met him and was hiring her for this service. I preferred she walk them separately by herself. Instead of respecting these agreements, we watched Sarah leash up the dogs and take them out at the same time. We also saw her boyfriend walk our dogs and this was really frustrating because this is not what we agreed on. She was too lazy to walk our dogs separately, and made the decision on her own to go against what we had agreed upon. What agreements would she disregard when she's watching YOUR animals? On Friday night, Sarah and her boyfriend came home very late. It appeared her boyfriend was stumbling through the apartment, reaching out to grab the wall for support multiple times. We assumed they had been out drinking but we can't be sure. After leaving our dogs alone for hours while they went out that night, the dogs barely received a 5 minute bathroom break that evening before bed. We chalked this up to Sarah just being lazy and not attentive to the dog's needs. Regardless, it's really difficult to watch a drunk stranger in your home taking care of your animals while you sit there hoping everything goes okay. On Saturday morning, Sarah and her boyfriend left and were gone for almost 10 hours. She left our dog in his kennel for 10 hours without a bathroom break. She text me saying he had diarrhea and "anxiety". It might have been because you left him in his crate for an entire day while you spent the day with your boyfriend? Or maybe it was because you didn't feed him dinner until 8pm when he normally eats around 5pm? We were so saddened to see our dog neglected in his kennel for an entire day, despite Sarah agreeing to provide multiple bathroom breaks each day and agreeing to not leave him in his kennel for more than four hours at a time. The entire weekend Sarah was checking in with us texting me things like "dogs are living their best life!" despite when we would check the camera, she wasn't even at our apartment! She would message me asking me if the dogs were allowed up on the bed (which they are) but we would check the camera to see Sarah in the bedroom with her boyfriend with the door closed, and the dogs sitting in the hallway alone. She really made it seem like she was spending time with them, but it was very evident that she ignored them the entire time. They are used to getting a lot of attention and love to cuddle, especially at night. If cuddling with dogs is not your preference, that is totally fine- and certainly not a requirement. But please do not PRETEND like you are cuddling in bed with my dogs when really you are not. Sarah and her boyfriend slept in our bedroom with the door shut, slept in late and didn't stick to our scheduled feeding times. We watched our dogs roaming our apartment in the morning waiting to be fed while Sarah and her boyfriend remained in the bedroom with the door shut. We had asked that she leave the oscillating stand fan pointing towards one of our dog's kennel given the extremely hot July temperatures at the time. We have a bernese mountain dog who does not tolerate heat well. Sarah removed the fan that was pointing towards our dog's kennel, and brought it into the bedroom to make herself more comfortable, despite having a ceiling fan above our bed. Our dog looked miserable in his kennel and that was very frustrating to watch. The worst part is that when we returned on Sunday, it was very clear that our bernese mountain dog was not feeling well. Shortly after Sarah left our apartment, our dog projectile vomited in our apartment and had diarrhea all over our couch. We were super confused as to how he had suddenly became so ill, but given what we had seen on our dog camera all weekend- it was not surprising. Any animal left in their kennel for an entire day, ignored, not given proper bathroom breaks, fed at random times, left in hot temperatures, etc. surely isn't going to be in their best spirits when you return from a trip. 5 months later and we have not taken another vacation or left our dogs in the care of any other strangers after this awful experience. Being a dog owner and Rover sitter myself, I have high standards for the type of care I expect someone to give my animals. We treat our dogs like family, and you probably do too. We didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary from her. Sarah is lazy and will not give your animals the care and attention they deserve. You might think you are paying someone to "house sit" but really she just provides what feels like "drop in visits" at minimum. Your animals will likely be ignored, they might not be fed or taken for a bathroom break for several hours, she will probably nap on our couch all day, and then she'll text you and pretend everything is going great and ease your concerns. She proved to be untrustworthy over and over again. I'd encourage all dog owners to invest in a dog camera so you can see for yourself the type of people caring for your animals, you might just be as surprised as we were. Save your money and do not hire Sarah.
