I grew up with dogs my whole life until I moved away for college; I used to walk my dogs every day, especially our tempered sheep dog (she was the runt of the litter and she had nervous energy). I also spent a couple years adoring my partners dog, and assisted in training with her. She grew up living in a fenced in yard and barked a lot, so when we brought her to our home where we had to start walking her in the park nearby, we had to do a lot of training with her to try and calm her down when we walked her, as she would bark and jump at anyone (especially other dogs) that walked by. We did treat training with her and also used a clicker, and over time her behavior become more gentle. I also did house sitting for friends last year in the summer, and both people I house sat for had cats (and one also had a dog) that I was happy to take care of. This year I am starting a regular flow of pet sitting for my brother while he is away on trips, and I love watching his bernese mountain dog and taking her for walks. I adore animals, it's a treat to be able to spend time with them, so I'm happy to help care for your pets in any way I can.
