Experienced Doggie Foster Mom

Pet care experience

Hi! As a (former) foster mom for a dog rescue, I have the experience and skills to deal with all sorts of doggie issues, both health-related and behavioral! Being a foster mom is more than just being a dog owner--it means rehabilitating dogs so that they can transition to the loving home they all deserve. I have experience working on anxiety-driven behaviors, leash-tugging, urinary incontinence, and more. I love dogs more than anything (and they love me!), and I will baby your pets as if they were my own. I am athletic and will play with your pets outside or inside. I will even train them or help them work on their social skills if you like. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to work with you to come up with the best solution for your pet.

It was the first time that I left Milo with someone outside of my family and outside my country (I am visting from Canada). Sarah made me feel at ease —she immediately showed affection for Milo while having a professional attitude. She updated me over the course of the day & sent me pictures. I want to keep her !! Most highly recommended ! Thank you Rover & Sarah.??

Sarah took on this job for us last minute and was terrific. Sadie loved her and we felt very confident and comfortable being away with Sarah in our home. She sent lots of great pictures of Sadie and communicated regularly with us. Thanks Sarah!

Sarah did a great job and was so kind to our Lucy. She took her on fun adventures and sent us regular, detailed updates. It was our first time leaving Lucy behind, so it gave us a lot of peace of mind to see what she was up to and know that she was happy and well cared for.

Information Sarah A. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know about any allergies, as well as health problems that may come up (e.g., if your dog has breathing difficulties or seizures), your dog's physical limitations (e.g., is your dog's activity limited by hip dysplasia or arthritis), whether your dog gets along with other dogs or displays aggression while leashed, and any other behavioral details, such as whether your dog shows any food aggression or issues with anxiety.

A typical day

We can take hikes up to the pond at Boston Lot or through the Balch Hill natural preserve in Hanover, or enjoy Kilowatt Park on the Connecticut River. We will play fetch (if that's your dog's thing) or work on new tricks and skills. If your dog likes to play with other dogs, we can find meetups for dog owners so that your dog can have a playdate!
