Pet care experience
I treat and care for every dog I meet like they are my own <3 I live in a big house with a big fenced-in backyard (I never leave dogs unattended outside for more than 5 minutes) I treat every dog that has come into my home as if they are part of the family! -they are allowed on furniture & can sleep in my bed with my dog & I if you prefer. I also have a large dog crate (& lots of blankets for it) on hand if needed. My house is always stocked with no less than 4 balls to play fetch with, blankets, and a medium-sized box full of toys for cuddling & playing tug-of-war with my four legged furchild (: If you are only in need of a dog walker I have experience with dogs who pull the leash, who show aggression to passing dogs, and also those who need frequent short walks to help their rehabilitation in recovering from an injury or surgery. My dog handling and caring experience also includes, but is not limited to: general training, potty training puppies; Administrating medications via oral &/or needle; I have over 3 years experience with performing physical therapy on dogs who have major sprains/strains, who just had major knee surgery, or have arthritis. I also have experience caring for dogs who have special needs- such a major spinal cord injuries.

Sara took great care of our pets when we were away, from overnights to a two week vacation. And we have a lot of pets! We were able to enjoy being away without worrying how they were all getting along. In addition to normal feeding and loving, here are some of the above and beyond: * giving insulin shots to our diabetic cat, * feeding, cleaning, and petting our guinea pigs, * coaxing our shy dog out into the yard (much harder than it sounds)
Sara is my daughter. I can tell you that Sara has been rescuing and caring for abandoned animals since she was a young girl. This includes an abandoned baby squirrel that was found after the tree harboring the squirrel nest was cut down and several kittens found living under bushes. Sara has a big heart for all animals and we always had several dog and cat "fur children" in our house when Sara and her siblings were young. Sara has also provided dog and cat sitting services to our friends and neighbors over the years. Sara's secret desire is to become a certified therapy dog trainer and she currently owns two pets; Edie a pitbull mix and Hurley a grey tabby cat. Sara is most certainly a loving and responsible pet caregiver.

I must know ab any & all aggressive issues your dog has- this includes towards cats, as I also have an indoor cat. *Must know if dog has a bite history!* All bully breeds all welcomed and accepted in my home as my home insurance doesn't discriminate against bully breeds <3 I am an expert in training and caring for pit bulls..I absolutely love & adore all pit bull breeds
A typical day
Dogs who stay with me will enjoy long walks on the neighborhood walking trail or going to Joseph Bryant Park for at least an hour of playing fetch, walking off the paved path to have some fun exploring the park's dirt trails and playing in the (clean creek); or (with permission) taking a short drive to Belle Isle along the James for a long afternoon walk, sun bathing on the rocks and cooling off in the water. Your dog will have a playmate (my 6 going on 7 year old Lab/American Staffershire Terrior Mix). If it is too hot for long walks during the afternoon & evening, then activities will be limited to short walks around the block (on the sidewalk) and playing fetch in the backyard. Every night is cuddle time with me and my dog as we all will fall asleep in my big, comfortable bed (if dog must sleep in crate, my room is big enough to place a large crate in it so they do not feel alone and scared)
