Pet care experience
Our dog, Otis, is our second black lab. We have hosted many friend's dogs over the years. We like dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. Dogs are fun! They are messy and hairy and worth all the effort. We are responsible and well-adept to providing good care for your pet. Our kids, ages 6 and 9, are robust and can handle dog play, after-all, they survived our own rambunctious puppy before he grew up.
Reviews
Sara and her family took such good care of our 1-year old Golden. Our puppy didn’t eat the first day. It was her first time staying with a family, and she missed us. Sara came up with a meal that Harper couldn’t resist, and the rest of her time was smooth sailing. She cuddled with the family, and Otis (Sara’s dog) made room for Harper, played with her, and they napped together. We are most grateful and fortunate to have connected with Sara. Harper will return next week as we head out for another granddaughter’s wedding. Highly recommended.
Our dog Cooper stayed with Sara for a week. This was his first stay. She sent us pictures and video clips, and it sure looked like he had a great time! We will book her again!
sara is an amazing sitter! she has watch my baby girl abbey twice now and each time abbey has had a blast! she has her own dog so abbey is able to play and have fun while i’m gone!
Thank you for looking after Mist so well. As he is 4 month old puppy, he needs more attention and potty breaks and she did an amazing job taking care of him. Otis is very friendly and Mist and Otis had great time running around in her garden. We would definitely want to come back!

We have a big fenced yard and a dog door from our kitchen. Coyotes and other critters can't get into our yard. I let my dog run off leash at the park, but it's your call whether you're comfortable with that for your own dog.

Information Sara V. would like to know about your pet
We'd prefer not to host destructive dogs or constant barkers. Otherwise, I bet we can make it work! Let us know your comfort level on dog doors, baths, off-leash time, eating times, etc.
A typical day
Our neighborhood is great for walking with access to a couple of parks and many trails. We tend to do our primary exercise in the morning. This makes for calm, relaxed days while we work. Otis tends to play hard and get muddy. He get hosed off outside with a warm water hose.

Availability
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we work from home. Occasionally, we'll go to work for a couple hours. We walk the kids to school in the morning which is about 20-30 minutes each way. On the way home, we usually stop at the park to play ball for 15 minutes or so.
