Looking for a home away from home for your furry family? Look no further! A recent island transplant and parent, I haven't been on Rover long, but I have many years of experience working in boarding facilities, doggy daycares and as an assistant groomer and dog walker, as well as pet sitting in my own or client's homes. I am familiar with administering medications and other special needs care tasks. I have a flexible schedule and I am home most of the time. I understand the importance of trust and reliability when it comes to your beloved pets. I have a dog and two cats of my own, and have had many more throughout my life, so I know firsthand the love and attention they deserve. Whether it’s cuddles, playtime, or ensuring their daily routines are maintained, I treat every pet as if they were my own. Rest easy knowing your pets are in the hands of a caring, experienced sitter who truly loves animals! 🐶🐱💜

Sara went over and above with our Golden - Who definitely had some separation anxiety while we were gone. She sent us plenty of updates and asked questions when needed. Highly recommended!!
Sara was fantastic! For a last minute request she watched my giant puppy for almost a week. My puppy warmed up to her almost immediately and she was amazing about respecting my rules and preferences for him. She sent lots of photos and videos and made me feel very comfortable with having her in my home and with my impressionable young pup. He was nice and tired when I came home and I could tell she had followed my instructions to a T. I can’t recommend Sara enough!!

I have my Red Cross Pet First Aid & CPR certification. I have a fully fenced backyard, and live really close to a lovely park for dog walks. I have a 5 bedroom house, with one room dedicated to cozy animal space, set up with a camera and white noise machine. This is where they are kept on the rare occasion they're left alone, but they generally have access to the whole house, or at least an entire floor. I am able to segregate the top and bottom floors if needed to ensure everyone's comfort and safety. I have lots of comfy couch space, dog beds, and toys, and I can accomodate both crate trained and not crate trained dogs. Have a terrier that needs to sleep in the bed with me? No problem. A husky that prefers to sleep on cold tile? We can do that. In a client's home, your rules are my rules! I aim to leave your home just as you left it, with happy and well cared for animals to come back to.

A typical day
Depending on the dog, we'll either take a leisurely stroll through the park, play in the yard, or head up to one of Nanaimo's beautiful trails for a hike, and then come home to enjoy some family time, dinner, another walk, and then some couch snuggles before bed.
