A friend for your family member!
Pet care experience
Day job: Monday to Friday 10-7. 1 hour lunch. I have an hour lunch break that I can use to go and take someone on a walk! I can also go before or after work. Just ask me if you'd like to see if we could work something out Let me know what your needs are so I can accommodate them. ------------------------------------ I've always loved animals and I love helping people so hanging out with them and getting paid a little bit for it, too, is a dream. Giving some attention and love to pets always makes them happy, but making sure their owner is a little bit more at ease knowing they are taken care of is just a bonus. My goal is to be a friend that your pet is comfortable with so they can enjoy their day to the fullest. The best part of their day is when you get home so my job is to keep them smiling and their tails wagging until that glorious moment. I volunteered as a foster mom for homeless animals in the past and have a total of about two and a half years of that under my belt. This has included short and longer term stays of puppies, dogs, cats and kittens. I also have some experience with handling and feeding birds and parrots. I've extensively cared for dogs and cats rehabilitating from injuries/surgeries, with handicaps and with medical conditions, so I don't mind accommodating any needs they might have. A large portion of my experience, besides the medical accommodation, lies with larger dogs since I was raised with labs in the house. I had the responsibility of walking three Labradors at the same time when I was young and I understand that chaos comes with the large dog, strong tail, even stronger pull on the leash territory. I love it! Being a foster mom allowed me to meet tons of different personalities, most of which seemed too big to be able to fit in such tiny bodies. Fostering gave me a respect for things an animal may have gone through and taught me to acknowledge an animal's right to space and caution toward people or situations. If your pet is shy or timid, I don't mind slowly building their trust so that they can have a comfortable experience. It is all about their happiness, so my first concern is being sure that they think I'm a good fit for them. Also, if you are trying to train your dog, I can assist with training consistency while you're working! If you are trying to implement something new, you can just show me what to do and I'll gladly do training refreshers while I'm with them. I also offer an overabundance of picture taking to the point that it's pretty much a photo shoot. I couldn't find any pictures of myself with animals because they are all OF the furry creatures I adore. All of the pictures on my profile are family pets, friend's animals that I watch regularly or older photos of some that I have fostered. General Scheduling Information: I generally work Monday through Friday. Before and after work is the prime availability for stopping in BUT I do have availability once a day during my lunch break! I can do a drop-in for your pooch in the afternoon. I'm very transparent and flexible so if you have any questions for me, don't hesitate! I hope to hear from you soon! :)
