reliable with a lot of love to give
Pet care experience
I started caring for cats at the age of 9, and have been sitting friends' animals of all kinds when they need someone reliable to make sure their pets are safe, fed, since middle school. I always make a point to give the pets lots of love and affection and am very good with meeting new animals and helping them acclimate to their owners not being around. I also have experience sitting exotic pets such as birds or reptiles.
Reviews
Sara did an awesome job watching our dog and cat when we were out of town. She communicated regularly and took great care to manage to our pet’s needs and their schedules. She cleaned up the spaces she used and everything was in perfect order when we returned home. We can’t wait to work with Sara again!
Sara was amazing!! kept us updated and took amazing care of our pups and house. i will 100% be booking again:)
Sara was great! The dogs were super happy when we came back and she was awesome at sending daily updates. Our house was also spotless! We’ll definitely have Sara back in the futur!
Sara was very attentive to my dog and she took a lot of notes when first meeting him in person. I trusted that she was taking good care of my dog while I was out of town.

Communication
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
I believe the key to a successful sitter-client relationship is mutual trust, respect, and communication. I make it a point to be very respectful of people's property and clean up after myself as well as the animals so you have no extra work to worry about when you get home. I am also very communicative, providing 2 (or more per request!) updates per day with photos and/or video. If there are any concerns during the stay, I contact the client immediately.
Information Sara L. would like to know about your pet
Please leave clear written or typed instructions of the pet's schedule and anything I may need to know if your pet needs specialized care, such as medication. I also like to know what a pet likes and doesn't like so I can make sure they are as comfortable as possible while under my care Examples - Hoku has allergies and needs to have an antihistamine mixed into his food. -Addy will take any opportunity to slip out of the house, so keep an eye out when opening doors. -Belly is apprehensive of humans and does not like to be handled
A typical day
I am a big believer that dogs need lots of outdoor time (weather permitting) and make a point to go on walks as well as getting them some extra outdoor time if there is a fenced yard. I will play with them (fetch, tug, chase, whatever their favorite is) as well as give them plenty of time for pets and snuggles. I leave any walk routes up to the client (routine is important!) I do not take pets in my car to other locations or dog parks out of an abundance of caution.

Availability
My schedule is very flexible! I am available morning, day, and night 7 days a week. I work a part time job (less than 20 hr/wk, shifts are usually no longer than 5 hours). Any other work I have, I can do remotely from the comfort of my client's home! For house sitting, I make it a point to spend as much time in your home as possible. I aim to keep the time I am gone under 6 hours.
