~~Temporarily Retired, it has been wonderful caring for all your furbabies!~~ I grew up in a family doing Doberman Pinscher rescue, worked at a doggy daycare for 5 years, and for the past two years I've been working for myself with Rover- and I love it! Between rescue, daycare, and Rover, I have met almost every type of dog, and certainly every temperament. I live and breathe dogs, and I truly love each and every one. With having worked closely with my mother at her rescue since I was a teen, my special interests have become elderly and differently-abled dogs, I can't help but dote on them, and am completely comfortable with routine medical care such as diabetes care, compromised skin care, and complex medication regimens. I also excel in caring for, and earning the trust of, animals suffering from severe anxiety (some of us with rescue pets are familiar with this hurdle), and am willing to provide 24/7 care for separation anxiety if requested. I'll be sitting exclusively, so my availability is 100% open to suit your needs. I love a bouncy, playful, on the go pup that's into walkies and playdates....but I am just as happy giving a couch potato all the snuggles they require, and making sure that tummy stays rubbed. Every dog has their own way to shine in my universe, and each one seems to work a type of magic on me. One reason I decided to go into "private practice" is I wanted to build up a clientele I could get attached to, and stay close to. While we had a handful of "regulars", too often at daycare I'd meet a great dog, but they would never come by to play again- I can't do that, it hurts my heart! I love the bond that I form with pets that I see regularly- Miss Sara always means a fun time is going to be had! The past year has also afforded me the opportunity to meet some amazing families, many have treated me like a member of their family. Moving from the Midwest to Connecticut was a necessary decision due to family matters, and I was truly sad to be leaving my people- and of course, my pups (and kitties, turtles, bunnies, and one pot-bellied pig). I can't wait to fill that emptiness in my soul with love from your fur-babies. Though I grew up with dogs, I am currently the proud mama of one amazing Calico queen, and would be more than happy to care for yours as well. Provided detailed care instructions, I am also willing to care for other pets such as lizards, birds, rats, snakes, etc. I can't wait to meet you and your pets!
