Pet care experience
Hi, friends! I’ve been in a home with pets (🐕 &🐈) since I was three years old. My dog sitting days started in middle school! We recently adopted a rescue dog, and I’ve learned a lot about dog training through this experience- especially reactivity. I provide a calm demeanor and prioritize health through physical activity and playtime. And for cats, well, whatever they want. 😂I have a soft spot for cats. My childhood cat is over 12 years old!

I care for pets in a calm manner. I let them set the tone and pace of our interaction. Want to play? Cool. Want to take a moment for yourself? Also cool. I allow them space but also look out for my furniture (and yours) by being present and redirecting if necessary. Your rules are my rules.

I like to know about any special needs, pee/poo schedules, favorite treats, as well as if they have any reactivity or other quirks that should be known before taking them out into public if you prefer walks around parks instead of neighborhoods. (My dog is reactive in certain circumstances, so I ask out of understanding, not fear.)
A typical day
I love to go walking with my dogs at the local parks. I frequent Ben Burton, Memorial, and other local Athens areas. We take time to sniff and explore while also getting our steps in so that they are tired and happy pups!

I am a teacher, so my days are usually wide open during the summer months unless I’m spending time with my dog or on a short vacation.
