I have cared for pets in many capacities, including managing a dog daycare, boarding overnight in my home, and providing in-home overnight care, walks and visits. In my position as dog daycare manager, I enjoyed teaching dog training classes using positive reinforcement based methods, as well as utilizing training methods on leashed walks for clients. I have also provided pet transportation and other services for pet owners who want their pets to have loving care while they're away. I treat my clients' pets like my own, while following the routines they are accustomed to. I have experience administering medications, including syringe feeding and fluid injections, among other medications, and am pet first aid/CPR certified. Additionally, I have studied dog behavior and body language extensively, attended seminars and read countless books in order to strengthen my ability to communicate with dogs. I enjoy watching them puzzle through training tasks and helping them overcome social challenges. I have been involved in pet rescue work, volunteering at shelters and fostering several puppies and adult dogs as well as kittens. I was very involved in helping to place pets in their optimal forever homes. I have a passion for caring for all pets, but dogs are my greatest love. I am excited to build a relationship with yours!
