My love of dogs has been lifelong. My first job was walking my neighbors Italian greyhound every day at lunch while I was on summer break. When we finally convinced my dad to get a family dog I was in 8th grade and had already been proving my ability to care for one through pet sitting for numerous friends and neighbors. We got a miniature schnoodle who I loved to teach multiple tricks to show off to friends and family whenever we could. She is now 14 years old and has had multiple health issues over her years including anxiety and pancreatitis, through which I’ve learned how to care for an aging dog. When my husband and I finally moved to our own place I made sure it was pet friendly and we immediately got a standard golden doodle puppy. Although I was familiar with caring for larger dogs from years of pet sitting, having and training one of my own was a new experience! Stanley is now a happy and healthy 2 1/2 year old. I love all dogs of any age and any breed. I stop to pet any dogs I see on walks and friends often joke that I love dogs more than most people. I’m familiar with caring for dogs at any age and love the companionship they bring, even just for an afternoon walk or a weekend stay!
