Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Sara! As a lifelong animal-lover, I have taken care of a wide variety of animals that includes large and small dogs, cats, rodents, rabbits, exotic birds, reptiles, and many others. I also have experience caring for wild animals such as squirrels, opossums, groundhogs, fawns, and weasels through my work as a wildlife rehabilitator. I work as a Special Education teacher, which allows me to spend my summers caring for your fur babies! I have a large fenced in yard that is perfect for playing fetch or just relaxing in the sun! And if your dog is a swimmer, we have an in-ground pool that they are welcome to use! I currently have one dog, a 5-year-old poodle named Olive, who is incredibly friendly and loves playing with new friends. I also have four cats who do very well with other animals. I am comfortable caring for dogs that are not yet house-trained, senior pets, and pets with special needs.

In my home, animals are always welcome to hang out with me on the couch and sleep in my bed! While your pet is in my care they'll have supervision around the clock and you'll always be able to reach me. I will keep you updated with regular reports, photos, and videos of our days together. Communication is key, and I am always available to address any concerns or answer any questions you may have.

A typical day
On nice days, I enjoy being outside with my animals in my fenced-in yard, or going for walks in the park that is within walking distance of my house. If your dog is a water-lover, I live within walking distance of the Seneca River, so on hot days I can take them for a swim!

Since I don’t work in the summer, my schedule is highly flexible and adaptable to you and your pet’s needs.
