I've always had dogs and other pets since I was a kid. I've taken care of all breeds/sizes of dogs. I currently have a rescue dog who has severe separation anxiety. When I first adopted him he would bark and cry nonstop while I was at work. It took a lot of work but he is doing so much better now. He doesn't bark when I'm gone and we have our set routine so he knows when I am getting ready to leave and he calmly goes in his crate to cuddle up with his favorite toys and doggy bed.
