As with most dog sitters love comes first! I am also intelligent enough to read a dog's body language and look at it while I interact with it. I respect dogs needs and those come first while on the job. Dogs are individuals too and have their own personalities. I aim to establish a rapport with the dog(s) from the beginning.The dog(s) gets my full attention while I'm taking care of it/them. I trust the dog(s) as I want the dog(s) to trust me. I am NOT on my phone unless it is important. I have walked a friend's dog a few times while they were away. I grew up with 2 large dogs (both German shepherds) I can take care of their needs, feed and water them and give medicine if required. The dog should be well behaved. I won't look after an animal that has behavioral issues as I' m not there to train it. This way there won't be any misunderstandings. I believe in the highest quality of care as the dog(s) are entrusted to me. In return I expect full honesty from the owner. I work at the Natural History Museum part time.
