Dog Walking * All dogs under my services are walked or exercised paying attention to the weather and avoiding excess heat, to ensure overall dog discipline, health and happiness. 1. Having the free range ability to roam, soak up the scents from other dogs in their surroundings, and leave messages in theirs, is an essential part to dog behaviour. It invigorates them, keeps them thinking and orientated with where they are in their environment. Just like we check our texts and emails. They get to discover what hierarchies exist within the environment around them, and where they can fit into that chain. It gives them an overall sense of security and awareness, progress and growth as well as satisfies their curiosity. The last thing any dog owner wants is a dog who is pent up and stressed due to inactivity and boredom. 2. By utilising their number 1’s & 2’s, they regulate their muscles, joints, blood, lymphatic systems and bowel movements, vital to overall pet health. 3. Socialising is a crucial part to dog behavioural adaptation and pacification. It is a good skill for them to have living amidst us in the human world whereby they may be subject to social settings outside of their home and family. Being distanced from the wild roots they evolved from, they no longer have the natural pack mentality which teaches them social cues, hierarchical structures and the skills necessary for survival. Domestication means they subvert their loyalties to us, so in order to keep this cycle going, social activities bridge that gap. Giving them a chance to thrive in a secure environment and guided pack, they can gain confidence to express their own characters they possess from their breed and households, and learn other skills from their pack pals. This protected style of exposure gives them a canvas to explore upon. Think of it as school. It takes time, but repetition and gentle correction when needed allows them to flourish 4. Ultimately exercise keeps a dog physically and mentally fit. Burning up their energy improves digestion, aids restful sleep and strengthens their bodies, keeping them happy and therefore less aggressive. Dogs that have more regularity through these steps suffer less fear and apprehension. They doubt their environment less and therefore feel more comfortable and calm. Just like us, this homeostasis gives them clarity to explore their life and evolution in a healthy, balanced way. 5. Fun. The final and most important point to it all. Above all, we seek to have some serious fun! Dog Boarding After implementing the steps taken in dog walking, dog boarding leaves for a comfortable and relaxed stay for as long as your pet needs. Spaces are restricted to 6 dogs total at any one time. The dwelling they shall reside in is around - 2000sq feet house with fenced back yard - Air conditioned at all times - Free range roaming out back in the yard - Let out every 0-2 hours. Last pees and poos at 12am, then we rise and shine from 6am or if a pet needs to go out I wake and take them. - Access to furniture and beds - Dogs are washed and kept clean during their stay if need be. - 2 main meals a day with intermittent task and reward treats to keep them fuelled and feeling accomplished. - Administration of medication performed to owners instructions
