Pet care experience
Hi there. My name is Sandra and I am currently living in Anchorage. I own a 14 year old husky and a 2 year old Alaskan village mix. We love to hike, camp and backpack during the summer. I have gained a lot of knowledge and training while managing at a couple of different doggy daycare & boarding facilities. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many different breeds and sizes, as well as observing many different Canine behaviors. I know how to set up and maintain a successful, safe and playful environment for all dogs. I hope I can meet the needs you are looking for, I look forward to caring for your fur kid!
Reviews
Esti has the best time at Sandra’s. We can tell she gets a lot of love and we get great photo updates! Highly recommend.
Sandra is the best. She is very nice and has been very understanding/flexible with my work hours as a nurse. Henry loves going to her house and comes home exhausted from playing.
Sandra was very accommodating and great with Gracie. She safely allowed Gracie to interact with her two sweet dogs on our meet and greet and made sure everyone got along okay. I’m super anxious about leaving Gracie with a new person and she made sure to put me at ease. She has years of experience working with dogs and it shows.
Sandra is so good with our pup! We will definitely book with her again. Top notch!

Safety, trust & environment
I have plenty of experience working with dogs and I am very attentive to their needs and health. I perform body checks regularly incase of any injuries or signs of pain. I do my best to make sure they eat their meals and will add warm water or some goodies if they don’t have allergies. I do my best to make them feel comfortable as well. The dogs will have access to a doggy door whenever I’m home. We do require all dogs to be kennel trained for safety reasons. For bedtime, they’ll be allowed to lay down wherever they’d like. If you prefer your dog be in a kennel at night that is also a possibility. I have a “dog room” set up that can be for pairs of dogs or even singles if they want some quiet alone time. This works well for older dogs who may not want to play as much.

Information Sandra V. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog get along with other dogs? Has your dog been through any obedience training? Is your dog kennel trained? Do you allow your dog on the furniture? Is your dog potty trained? Is your dog familiar with a dog door?
A typical day
We enjoy hiking and going on walks often. If we have multiple dogs, we enjoy playing with the soccer ball or some fetch in the yard. We play different games and work on training to get your dog mentally stimulated. If your dog prefers to snooze in a quiet area, that’s also a possibility.

Availability
Most mornings start between 6:30 and 7:30am and “end” around 9-10pm, with a possible nap time sometime in the day for 2-3 hours. We spend time in the yard playing fetch, soccer and the dogs enjoy their game of chase. We practice manners inside and don’t get too rowdy but still have some fun. We practice group sits and downs for some stimulation. We do our best to make sure everyone is comfortable and that’s it’s the right fit. All of the dogs’ safety is our number one priority.
