Pet Nutritionist <3 Long Walks

Pet care experience

I am a pet nutritionist & trainer for a large retail chain, with a passion for animals. Since I travel periodically for my career, I'm unfortunately unable to have a dog of my own. When I'm not traveling, I work from home and certainly miss the company of a dog. Your pup will be with me always and a part of the family during his or her stay. I've fostered, rescued, walked & trained many puppers over the last decade in the pet industry. I have chew toys, food-rewarding puzzles & healthy treats to pamper your pooch during their stay. I'll be sure to go for a long morning & evening walks to tire your pup out. Or, perhaps a trip to a quiet park with a ChuckIt! The goal is for you to pick up a happy, healthy pup after a stay with me, as opposed to a stressed-out dog which is often the case with large boarding facilities. I only accept one dog at a time so know that yours will be another member of our family and our day will truly revolve around making sure they're happy & tuckered out!

Auggie thoroughly enjoyed her first stay with Sandra. She was truly professional and treated our pup to walks and treat puzzles. Definitely recommend!

Awesome with my difficult dogs, very trustworthy and professional. Made a great impression at meet and greet and kept me updated. Would definitely use her again.

Sandra was simply amazing. I will 100% be using her again whenever she is available. She took such great care of our dog during a home visit on a hot day. She even left behind a toy she brought that Murphy loved! It’s his new favorite toy:)

We left our two big puppies with Sandra for the first time for a 5 day trip. She watched my babies very carefully not leaving them alone for very long. She fed them breakfast lunch and dinner and give them their meds and walked them every day and send us pics as well. While they did have a lot of pent up energy and some anxiety, with my permission she took them to an enclosed area to let them run and it was nice to return home to tired dogs!

Safety, trust & environment

We have a high-fenced yard with a turf patch for the pups to potty on in summer months. My daughter is oftentimes back there playing with her water table while I read. We keep our home very peaceful. My daughter is taught to be patient and kind towards animals. When it isn't too hot for their paws, we can head on over to the several dog potty & park areas in my quiet community. The entire community is fenced as well and very safe.

Information Sandra C. would like to know about your pet

I LOVE giant breeds! They are a passion of mine. I have also owned my share of tiny dogs and they'll get smooches too, don't worry! I ask that your dog is cat-friendly, kid-friendly, potty-trained and non-leash-aggressive. For overnight stays, crate training is incredibly helpful so that your pup has a comfortable, safe-space to snuggle down for the night. I will follow all of your feeding guidelines; nothing is too crazy for us! I promise you will receive updates and, of course, lots of photos!

A typical day

We enjoy going on 2-4 mile walks each day. Sometimes we go on light hikes or to local parks; to which we'd bring your pup. Your dog will always be safe on a leash with me and will likely pick up some better manners as I have spent some years as a dog trainer.

Both my husband and I work from home and it is a very peaceful place. We like to take late morning or early afternoon breaks to walk the community. If your pup likes car rides, we can certainly include them when we head out to pick up our daughter or visit local parks. Our schedule revolves around the pups when they stay with us.
