Samuel was great! He helped us out with a last-minute request and watched our dog Bentley for a few days, who needed frequent bathroom breaks. He was responsive and left our home in great shape, and I came home to a happy pup.

As a first time Rover user I did my due diligence when finding a sitter for my house and dogs. Samuel's reviews were stellar and he had a lot of repeat customers. After booking Samuel for a one night house/dog sitting service, I arrived home to find windows open (it was actively raining), all three doors unlocked, lights left on, key missing, and a number of other issues. To me this was unacceptable. When I text with Samuel he said he hoped I would forgive his absentmindedness. For me, this was more than absentmindedness, this was thoughtlessness for my property and possessions. I would have forgiven one door left unlocked, but to have every door unlocked was unforgivable. I had met Samuel prior to booking as suggested. He seemed to be concerned about the dogs and understood their feeding and snack times. I was looking forward to having a sitter I could trust. I cannot recommend Samuel based on my experience, nor would I ever have him back.
