Pet care experience
I’ve had both cats and dogs for my entire life. I’ve had pets since they were little babies, adopted in their middle life, and taken care of senior pets during their golden years. I’ve also done dog- and cat- sitting for friends and family, and began dog walking part time 2 years ago!

Sam was seriously awesome!! From the moment I met her I knew she would be a great fit to watch our furbabies. Our dog and cats absolutely loved her!! Sam texted me when she was arriving & leaving my house, constantly sent me updates and photos as well!!! Would give Sam a 10 star if I could!! Happy we left our animals in such great hands & very thrilled we found a new babysitter to watch them ? Thanks again Sam!! Ellie misses you already ❤️
Samantha was very thorough and compassionate in her care for our cat while we were away for three weeks. She made an effort to connect with our sometimes grumpy cat and left thorough notes each day. I highly recommend her services.
It is always such a comfort to have Samantha watch the kitties. She is awesome! We know the cats are in the best of hands with her.

I have a cat myself so I am very conscious of ensuring safety! I always make sure the home is secure when I arrive and when leaving (door closed and locked, etc.) and approach every new furry friend at their level for their comfort. If a pet is not immediately comfortable with strangers I will always spend extra time making sure they feel safe around me. I think it’s incredibly important to be patient with animals and treat them with the same respect I would when meeting a person!

Let me know if your pet has special needs or triggers that I should look out for/avoid. For walking dogs, it would also be great to know any specific places they feel most comfortable doing their business so I can take them there!
A typical day
I love taking dogs on walks in the park. It is not just fun for the dog, it’s fun for me too! It also gives me the opportunity to explore new places around the city. I’m always associating places with the dogs I’ve walked in that area! As for cats, I love play and cuddle time if the cat is comfortable with that. There’s nothing better than when a cat curls up next to you on the couch!
