I am an experienced pet sitter and dog walker ready to take on new clients. It is such a joy to blend my professional world with my love of animals, one of the things that brings me the most satisfaction and contentedness in this life. It is an honor to be trusted with the care of my clients' animal companions and I treat it as such. I take care to be fastidious and detail oriented, while at the same time heaping loads of love and goofiness on the critters while you are away. I have experience with dogs, cats, rabbits, and other small mammals like rats and guinea pigs. I am available for long term stays as well as quick visits and ongoing care, light grooming, and oral medication administration. For an extra fee I can provide field trips to nature spots, extra-long hikes, taxi-ing to appointments, and green housecleaning. If I can be of service let me know, and I promise a prompt reply. Pepper is amazing and I highly recommend her! I completely trust her to check in on my two cats when I go out of town. Pepper always sends great photos and updates and I always come home to happy cats.
Pepper’s terrific! She was able to stay with our special needs pup for almost a week and keep him mellow and content. Pepper exceeded my expectations as a cat sitter! I was so nervous leaving Nairobi for the first time but she was in great hands! Pepper stopped by for a meet and greet and let Nairobi sniff her and introduced herself. She was very professional and asked questions about my kitty’s schedule and diet and vet. I was so comforted by the daily pictures and little blurbs on how she was doing and how each drop-in went! There aren’t enough thank yous to give and I will definitely use Pepper’s drop in services again! :)

I like to stay as close to your pet's regular routine as we can to provide them maximum comfort, especially when you are out of town. I put your pet's safety first and always keep dogs leashed in unfenced areas. I consider dog and cat cuddles to be my favorite job perk and will provide lots (if that is something they enjoy- I also am good at reading animal body language and respecting boundaries!)

It is important to know how a dog interacts with other dogs, children, and strangers so that I am aware of potential situations outside of the home. What are their favorite activities and toys? Any special training you are working on that I can continue with, so their progress is not derailed? What's a nice treat I can give?
A typical day
I love to work with the client guardian to tailor petsitting to the needs and also the personalities of the animals/dog(s) I am sitting for. I am there for them, so it is really their time! If they are an energetic dog that loves walks, we can go on a hike or to the beach. If they are social we can head to the dog park. If they would rather relax and get lots of love and pets, thats great too.

Availability
I typically have dog walks and drop-in's in the morning and mid-day (and occasional evening walks or drop-in's) as well as some other part time work. I like to be present as much as possible for your pet. We can discuss your pet's particular needs at meeting.
