Hello! I am a college student majoring in Environmental Science and minoring in Japanese, and I’m in my senior year. I’m currently working at a doggy daycare in Elmsford. For specific times on my availability please don’t hesitate to ask, I’ll do my best to be flexible and work something out. I am passionate about pets and their care and am enthusiastic to walk or tend to your pet’s needs! I have experience administering medicine in both pill and injection forms. I have about twelve years of experience taking care of dogs and cats personally, and about 4 years professionally. I currently have an 8 year old chihuahua and a 4 year old cat. I look forward to meeting you and your pet ! Due to the pandemic I took a break from accepting new clients but continued to help my current ones, which is why my last reviews are may be a little old.

Samantha stayed at our house while we were away and took care of our two dogs. Both seemed very happy when we got home and the place was exactly how we left it. Would definitely use her again.
Samantha is great. I would recommend her and will definitely use her again. She did drop-in visits during Christmas time. My cat is a senior who is blind, asthmatic and diabetic. He takes three medications that Samantha was responsible for administering in addition to feeding, water changes, litter box cleaning. All duties were done expertly
Samantha has fed and walked Darwin for me twice this week. She is friendly and reliable. She answers inquiries quickly and seems happy to interact with Darwin. I’ll definitely call her again without hesitation.

When in your home, if possible, I try to maintain their routine in order to minimize any separation anxiety. If I need to walk the dog or go outside, I make sure to be prepared in order to prevent any accidents.

Dog walking: is your dog reactive towards certain things, are they easily over stimulated, do they have any prey drive, do they have a solid recall? If not, what kind of tools (leash, harness, collar, e-collar, etc) would you like me to use in order to prevent them from running away in case of an emergency? Are they food/praise/toy motivated ? House sitting: all of the questions from dog walking as well as: do you crate your dogs at certain times ? Are there any medications or allergies that I should know for the duration of the stay? Are they allowed on the furniture (bed, couch, etc)? Is there anything in particular that I can do to make them more at ease while you’re away ?
A typical day
I’d walk them around your neighborhood or go through your preferred route. If they like to play with their toys and are high energy dogs, I can meet their needs. Or if they’re on the opposite side and prefer to relax and take it slow I can meet their needs as well. It'll all depend on your pet's personality and needs.
