ABOUT ME... -I'm 25 and have been around animals since I can remember. Growing up, we had dogs, cats, fish, bunnies, birds, and a tortoise. -I try to stay pretty active, so I like taking dogs out for walks, hikes, to the beach, empty and enclosed parks, or just out and about with me, whatever they're up for! -I'm a huge advocate of mental stimulation and enrichment, not just physically tiring a dog out -I am not a fan of dog parks MY ABILITIES... -Experience with dogs of all breeds from 9 wks-15 yrs -Experience administering shots, oral and topical medications to puppies and horses -Experience training puppies and doing rehabilitative work/training with rescue horses -Some experience shadowing equine vets, farriers and chiropractors (I'm no expert myself) PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE -1 yr working at a puppy store (controversial, I know) -Walker/sitter for several long-term clients - 6 months looking after a client’s 3 horses 4 days/week while work kept him busy -7 years volunteering at a rescue ranch training/rehabilitating rescue horses, and caring for goats, pigs, chickens, etc. SHORT-TERM GIGS -Boarding/daycare kennel -Grooming center -Shadowing/assisting professional dog trainer -Rescue ranch/sanctuary in alpine working with horses, cows, pigs, goats, llamas, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and exotic animals like zebra, tortoises, camels, ostriches, zebu, etc.

We were so glad Samantha was available. We usually go to Shannon T., who is very good with dogs and making sure they're comfortable and happy, but were not at all disappointed with Samantha! We felt super comfortable leaving our dog in her care. Samantha was very attentive to Fern in walks, water breaks, and bathroom breaks, and of course play and pets. We could see Fern had a good time when we picked her up.

I approach with mindfulness and patience, and I follow their lead. I pay close attention to body language and never push a dog past their comfort level

-It helps to be informed of any special needs/ conditions/ medications /triggers /behaviors /training techniques before hand so that I can be conscious of these things and continue to put your pets usual routines into practice while they're with me -While I provide the best care possible to every animal, I have more experience and tend to feel a stronger connection with large breeds. (Shepherds, Rotties, Huskies, Dalmations, Greyhounds, Ridgebacks, Danes, etc.)
A typical day
Long walks or hikes, playtime including enrichment activities and training sessions if desired by owner, trips to the beach, scratches and cuddles, pampering and grooming if requested

I am currently in the process of redirecting my career field and am setting aside more time to revisit my passions for nature and animal care. As of now, I work Tuesdays 10-2pm and Fridays and Saturdays 2-11pm
