Pet care experience
I’m 25 and have grown up with pets since I was born! Including but not limited to dogs (mostly mixed breeds from shelters, including labs, Westin/Bichon frise, beagle mixes, and true muts), cats, potbelly pigs, mini donkeys, Nigerian dwarf goats, alpacas, cockatiels, and pet fish. I currently live in an apartment complex and don’t have a pet of my own, but I miss my childhood pets so much and go home to see them quiet often. I’m the person who smiles at every dog I pass and truly am looking for a little extra cash but mainly some quality pet time :). I’ve had experience with puppies, senior dogs, and super anxious dogs, as well as “mean” cats and pets with specific diets, schedules and conditions. I’m also a nurse so I understand the need for quality care and feeling as though your pets are safe and happy.

I have a dog with a lot of anxiety. He doesn't love strangers and definitely is on edge often. Samantha is FABULOUS with my dog, Boone. She is patient, calm, and willing to work with him on his terms. I never hesitate to have Samantha check on or watch my dog, and I highly recommend her to others! She loves animals and has a great heart.

I currently live in an apartment building and would not be available for over night boarding at my place but I am very willing to come to you! I have house sat many times and am not new to taking dogs on walks, potty breaks and feeding times. I understand that every pet has its own personality and schedule, which can be hard to trust with someone else besides their owner but trust me when I say I’ve taken care of pets with all kinds of special instructions and am willing to do what you need to have them feel safe with me.

Let me know if your dog has any specific care instructions ahead of time. Do they like other pets? People? Do okay in crowded parks or should be walked away from people/dogs? Diet concerns. Car riding issues or needs. Anxiety or fear of new people and places?
A typical day
I love long walks and any toys are my favorite toys! I am looking to exercise myself anyways so I can’t wait to take your pet along with me on some energy spending walks, playtimes etc.

Availability
I work three 12s a week from 7pm-7am and every other weekend. So my availability may change week to week but I also have a lot of free time during my days off and am also used to being up late so I’m able for late night potty breaks too. I truly could be available just about anytime as long I don’t work, so I’m willing to work with you!
