I have grown up with dogs my entire life and have always had responsibility in caring for them. While taking part in those responsibilities, I grew a new love for caring for my pets. That caring, has now reflected onto all dogs that I work with on the daily. I have been employed by, The Dog Stop, for over two years now and love what I do. I am a handler and dog care manager at my location. Over the course of time with The Dog Stop, I have noticed myself grow immensely. I obtained more knowledge and experience working one on one with hundreds of dogs, of all breeds, ages, and sizes. I am now at a point where I feel more than comfortable employing myself through Rover! I am so excited for the opportunities to meet and care for so many more animals! When working with dogs I tend to have a fairly strict tone and stature, as becomes your nature when trying to be a pack leader in a group of dogs for daycare. With that expresses some of my confidence which can help me to gain respect from a group, which then tends to make them listen a bit better and act calmer. Along with that, I would say I use a lot of body language to show dogs how I feel or what I want/expect from them. I can be good for both riling a pup up to soothing him/her to calm them down. It depends on the emotion they are expressing and what I feel the most comfortable emotion would be for them. As for verbal communication, I do use words and names. I do also like to use various noises that are attention grabbers when words aren't needed. When it comes to my routine for pet care, it really depends on the specific needs of the pet I am caring for. If you are interested in my services, we can thoroughly go through what your pet needs. For the time being, My available hours are Monday and Wednesday, 3pm-9pm for walks and drop-ins. Overnights can be discussed as I have a primary job and begin that shift a 6am on weekdays. I am very flexible and will do my best to fit your needs within my own! My available weeekend hours are Saturday 9am-6pm and Sunday 5pm-8pm for walks and drop-ins. Again, overnights can be discussed for weekends. I do have a part-time job in the evening as of right now, so that is why my hours are limited. If you are interested in working with me more consistently after a few sessions, then I will be able to leave that position and become full time for you and your pets!
