Pet care experience
I've been a dog owner most of my life. My experience includes both large and small breed dogs. My current apartment does not allow dogs, so I enjoy dogsitting because I get to make new canine friends. You can expect regular walks and play time while I'm caring for your four-legged friend. I've cared for dogs with chronic ear infections, senior dogs, and dogs with allergies. I'm comfortable with administering medical care if needed.

Samantha is great - she's very responsive and has been available on several last minute visits for Roscoe when we had exhausted all other options (like, for example when the wind chill outside was -40). She takes lots of great pictures and is very descriptive in her feedback after each visit so we know how things went. We are looking forward to using her more in the future!
Samantha was great watching my pup Reggie. I was gone for over a week, which is the longest I've ever left him. She sent tons of photos and updates, and even took him to the beach!
Samantha was SO GOOD with my dog! Like many pups, my dog has some funny quirks, and Samantha was so attentive to her needs. I felt comfortable having her stay with my dog while I was gone. I would definitely have her walk my dog again!

I'm diligent about keeping your dog safe. I always leash and harness before opening any doors. If you have a yard, I will supervise your dog as an extra precaution. I've worked with anxious dogs before and understand that some dogs may need time to warm up to a new person. I would prefer to schedule a meet and greet before booking overnight stays.

Availability
I work full-time as an elementary teacher so I have a lot of availability during prime vacation times. I'm also happy to watch your dog during other times of the year. Weekends are best during the school year. Weekday (when school is in session) availability is more limited since I won't be able to provide potty breaks or walks between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
