Pet care experience
As a pet owner who has owned animals from goldfish to guinea pigs I provide care, compassion, and the sensitivity that is required to take care of any animal, especially dogs. When I was much younger I had to take of my childhood friend's cocker spaniel labrador mix, Tasha, in which I had to provide the basic necessities such as feeding her and providing her with plenty of exercise. One of my fond memories of Tasha was walking her and although I was entirely new to the idea of walking a dog I can recall that it gave me a great feeling of pleasure when I was holding that leash. I cannot wait to meet your dog on my days of availability which is everyday including weekends!

Samantha was a wonderful sitter. She is extremely prompt and communicative, and also very flexible and understanding with our last minute changes. I have a rescue dog with a lot of anxiety and special needs and she made me feel very comfortable leaving Tippi with her. She also seems like a pro-dog walker, very confident and capable (and Tippi has aggression issues with dogs on leash). Tippi seems to really like her too! I would love to book Samantha again in the future.
Samantha was great!! She arrived a little later than expected but was very communicative throughout. Highly recommend!
Samantha gave up her Saturday night to come to my apartment and sit with my dog who has separation anxiety for 5 hours while I was out. My dog liked her! I will reach out to her again.

What I would really like to know before sitting a dog if there are any health related issues I should be aware about such as allergic reactions to certain kinds of food, toys, etc. As of now I have no breed preferences
A typical day
If chosen to be a dog walker I propose walking through certain parks or on a pier which I believe can be truly beneficial for both the myself as well as a dog. A visit to a dog park would certainly be nice for I have seen that many dogs that live throughout New York City love a good dog park. A fun activity that I could do is a nice game of tug of sock and catch and chase which was created by my partner's dog named Sibyl in which I would throw a small toy for her to initially catch and thence she would take it and run all over the apartment with it and I would have to chase her. I think it is such a fun and original thing to do. I also love taking Sibyl and spinning around the room with her in my arms, I think it would be fun for any small dog provided that it is ok with the owners first. Plus I love bouncing up and down with her in my arms too and I would love to do that with any dog that I am fortunate enough to take care of. Not to worry I won't make sure that happens with a big dog, in fact I prefer a nice game of catch and chase or tug of sock. I think it's always good to be original.
