I know how difficult it is to pick a sitter for your pets, I struggle with that myself. Most of my work is independent research, so I have flexibility in my schedule. My friends and family describe me as dependable, kind, and hardworking. I am a Texas native and now call Dallas home with my two cats and husky dog, Blizzard!. I have worked for most of my life and very dedicated in everything I do! Those qualities translate to my services in pet sitting - I am very serious about pet safety and well being, frequent communication and updates with owners, and making sure that your Rover experience is as amazing as I would want mine to be with my own pets! PAST EXPERIENCE: I have always worked with animals since a young age. Beginning with working at a horse farm for five years, then a dog and cat boarding facility for another three years, as well as personal experience sitting friends and family members animals. I love animals and I currently have a 70 pound Siberian husky named Blizzard and two rescue cats named Benji and Bailey. Growing up I raised a horse, chickens, puppies to senior age dogs, cats feral and domestic, reptiles, birds, and 10+ hamsters (rescued hamster pair that ended up to be boy and girl, not just two boys! What a surprise). I am passionate about animal rescue and fostering, so I also have experience dealing with separation anxiety, medical Illnesses and special needs, and behavioral issues. PETS I CARE FOR: -I feel comfortable with and have experience with almost all animals, of all sizes. I have previously cared for cats, dogs, horses, birds, reptiles, chickens and livestock, gerbils, and fish. - I have experience caring for special-needs dogs and cats as well as senior dogs and cats, including medication administration. MY SERVICES: *All visits will include multiple picture and text updates about your pet, detailing how everything went and how your pet is doing!* *When booking your service, I will ask about your pets’ normal routines, behaviors, home rules, etc. I will confirm cost and what the service will entail up front when you request a booking. I will share my personal phone number to ensure contact once booked. I will also reach out to confirm your service again one day before the scheduled visits to ensure there are no updates or changes needed!* *I will always customize my visits to your preferences and wants. If you’re not sure how to book something, just let me know what you want and I will take care of the rest!* - Drop-ins: A drop-in is a stop by your home at designated dates and times to engage with your pet and check in on their wellbeing. Drop-ins are usually either 30 minute or 60 minutes. A typical drop-in includes a walk (if wanted), play time, potty breaks, feeding, and fresh water. Cats or other animals get extra playtime and snuggles in the place of a walk and potty break. I do have a cat-safe stroller available if you would like your cat or other small pet to get an outdoor walk in a safe way. - House Sitting: A house sitting is a stay at your home for extended amounts of time on designated dates. I would ensure the safety and wellbeing of your pets and home, as well as any other daily tasks that may be needed. Some stays require 24/7 service where I sleep in your home, while others may need only certain time periods. Please reach out to me to discuss your expectations. Basically this is about maintaining your pets’ daily routine and your home while you are away. A typical stay includes multiple walks (if requested) and play times, feedings and fresh water as needed, and many potty breaks. Cats or other animals get extra playtime and snuggles in the place of a walk and potty break. I do have a cat-safe stroller available if you would like your cat or other small pet to get an outdoor walk in a safe environment. Home duties could include checking the mail, running some laundry or dishes, watering plants, rotating lights, etc. -Walks: A walk is when I take your pet on a walk for a designated amount of time. I Will ensure a potty break, give a treat (if permitted), and ensure fresh water. Cats or other animals get extra playtime and snuggles as well as a litter-box or cage clean in the place of a walk and potty break. I do have a cat-safe stroller available if you would like your cat or other small pet to get an outdoor walk in a safe way. - Day Care (**not currently being offered***): Drop your pet (dog, cat, etc.) off at my home for a certain amount of time. I will watch over your pet for the day and ensure playtime, potty breaks, feedings and water, and a walk (if requested). Also, I'd love to take them to a local dog park or other area if you request it. Cats or other animals get extra playtime and Animal TV and snuggles in the place of a walk and potty break. I do have a cat-safe stroller available if you would like your cat or other small pet to get an outdoor walk in a safe way. Please note: At this time I am being more selective with house sitting requests based on location, amount of days needed, and overnight stays needed as I am in the middle of my Fall semester.
