I don't have any work experience with dogs, but always get complements on how well our dogs behave; I have 3 dogs of my own, a 6 year old golden retriever, a 11 year old chihuahua mix, and a 11 year old lhasa apso, they can be walked without a leash, sit, stay, speak, etc.. They're all well behaved and under voice control 90% of the time. I trained the 2 small dogs and helped my husband with training the golden, since she was 1. All my dogs are fixed. When training my dogs I used a combination of treats, repetition, & "speaking with authority" At home I let my dogs out when I wake up in the morning, I give them treats while I make breakfast, then play with them out front after breakfast. Depending on the day, we might stay in, cuddle on the couch, go to the park, beach, or on a hike. I trained them to ring a bell when they need to be let out. When my husband & I are away they stay inside. Generally we come home to them asleep on our bed, couch, or people watching from the stairs. I usually feed them dinner around 4pm, that way they have plenty of time to eat digest and go to the bathroom before bed. I let them out before bed, then we all sleep in our bedroom. My days and hours of availability are different week to week, but I normally work at the Santa Rosa airport 2-4 days a week. My house is a 4 bed / 3 bath 2 story 2050 sqft, small backyard, 2nd to last house in a court. We have tile and laminate wood flooring downstairs and carpet on the stairs and upstairs. My husband and 3 dogs will be present at my house and I might bring them on walks, depending on the circumstances.
