Hi, I'm Sam! I was born into a family of cats (oh, and some humans!) but got my first dog when I was 5. An 18 lb Bichon Frise, she was my last full breed. To this day I have a passion for white dogs of any size! Currently, I only have two cats as my apartment policy limits animals. Both cats are rescues! Since I was a small child I have been taking care of pets, primarily cats and dogs with the occasional fish, lizard or snake thrown in there. :) Privately, I have been a pet, house and child sitter on my own AND through another company. So I have plenty of experience!!! :) I have a passion for snuggling and walking dogs, and a talent for winning even the most aloof cat over! I am very passionate about animals--I see them as four-legged people. I bond quickly and easily both with pets and people. I will provide very loving care to my new fur-friend and adopt them as if they're my own while I'm with them.

Samantha was awesome with our two little (but actually big) boys! She was very informative through out her stay and let us know how they were doing. It was really nice to be away from home but still be updated here and there- without having to ask! She even swept the floor for us since our pups shed awfully bad- which was so very nice of her. I will Definitely be using Samantha again- my pups miss her already!
We used Samantha a couple of time. The first few were great. She recently went to let our dogs out and “accidentally” took our house key with her. She never messaged me saying she had it. I had to contact her multiple times to find out if she had the key before I could get a response. I then asked her to send the key back to me. She said she would and I never recieved the key. It’s been three weeks and she still has not given me the key. We had to change all of our locks because I’m unaware of what she did with our house key. I also paid her to let our dogs out twice and she only came once and did not return the money for the visit she did not do. It’s very hard to get a response for her. At one point she messaged me saying one of my dogs was sick I responded asking what was going on and it took her 6 hours to answer me. I would not recommend Samantha.

I have learned a lot in the last few years and am ready to step up my game. I’ve made it a point to become a better communicator. My current schedule is also much more conducive to helping with pets, unlike when I worked in retail. I can now access my phone more and have more flexibility.

Please let me know your local Vet's info! I've never had to use emergency contacts on the clock but if that changes, I want to be prepared. Tell me about your baby's routine. Do they prefer walks in the morning? Couch potato? Dinner once a day or two meals? Wet food or dry or both? Where are your leashes? What "rules" does your baby have (i.e. no sitting on furniture, no entry to dining room, etc.) Any behaviors that I should know about your puppy? Do they try to sneak out the door? Do they dislike for a certain area on their bodies to be petted? Let me know so I can provide the best care possible for your furbabies. :)
A typical day
I cater to the needs of my client, so let me know what your furbaby enjoys! If a pup seems to enjoy longer walks or runs, I will do that with them. If they enjoy cuddling indoors more, I can do that! If they like to be brushed for the entire 30 visit then I'm here to make them happy. Whatever I can do to give you peace of mind and to make your pet happy and healthy I want to do. I usually go for walks around your block/neighborhood but am open to going to any nearby parks as long as you are comfortable with it!

Availability
I am a professional singer who teaches piano and voice lessons. My schedule is flexible and unconventional, which lends itself perfectly to helping out with pet care. Currently, I have no dog of my own and miss having a buddy to go on walks! Most of my clients are private, outside of Rover. I’ve learned to stay in a more tight radius to my home base, which helps because I’m always just a few minutes away, just in case.
