**Unavailable during the times of 6:30am - 3pm Monday-Friday unless school holiday/vacation week ((I’m a behavior tech for a school!))** Hi there! I’m Sam, an honest, energetic and overall fun, animal lover. I work primarily as a severe special needs teaching assistant for a public school system but my favorite hobbies are crafting, painting, gardening and animal care. Aside from over 7 years of babysitting (within my own family and several other families I have connected with over the years) I have just over ten years of experience caring for dogs and cats along with other exotic animals as I was partially raised on a family farm! Theres not much that I shy away from either. Much of my experience sitting was both for friends and strangers alike (word of mouth, don’t wanna brag but I have a good rep!) Ask anyone that knows me and they’ll say my love for animals runs deep. I currently have two guinea pigs (Agnes and Salem) and one sweet hamster named Charlie. Dog/cat sitting has always been a way for me to unwind and have fun. Your pet will certainly become apart of my family once I’ve met them and will receive nothing but love, respect and attention with me! Long walks a bonus too as I love going out rain or shine. As I do work for the public school system, I am unavailable M T W Th F between the hours of 6am-3pm. I am available all day on (most) weekends!

Samantha G. was absolutely the perfect dog sitter for our little 12 pound senior dog, Bichon/Cavalier. He had never been away from us before, so it was very important to me to find the right person. It took me 4 tries, but I finally found Samantha. She is a warm, loving and kind-hearted person who loves animals and did everything I had asked to make him comfortable. Sam is the best! She’s watched my dog, Lump on several occasions now and Lump is happier and happier with each visit. We actually call any stay at Sam’s place one of “Lump’s retreats” now. The last time Sam watched Lump for us, it was for three weeks and we got pictures and videos the whole time, which really helped me feel confident that Lump was being well taken care of. There was a lot of hiking and exploring, as well as a lot of cuddling in those three weeks and I could tell my lil Lumpy loved it every second of it. Sam is an animal-lover at heart and it definitely shows in her pet care. The essentials: I highly recommend Sam and would definitely leave Lump in her care again. Sam has always been good about giving regular updates, feeding Lump on her meal schedule, and just giving her a lot of love. I never worry when I leave Lump with Sam and if you work with her, you’ll understand why.
Sam quickly became a member of our family after she did such a great job caring weekly and sometimes daily for my dogs Gizmo and Princess! She would often take them to the local dog park for hours and walks around our neighborhood while I was away. I also own a cat and rabbit that she sweetly watched for me as well! Sam's love for animals is very obvious from the moment she meets or even just discusses them. It took me so long to find a reliable, caring person to allow into my home and take my fur babies on adventures. Rest easy when leaving your dog in her care!

Our home does not have a fenced area but our yard is about half an acre of clear field so I often walk dogs staying around here and through a lovely dog friendly wooded trail just behind my home as well. We do not have other dogs but my boyfriend Adam and I adore playing games indoors and outdoors with furry friends. Should I be caring for your pet at your home I am more than happy to help with any routines and play games/cuddle, whatever is needed to keep your furry friend happy.

I don’t have any breed preferences as I really do just love the presence of any dog or cat haha. I’d like to know what your pet enjoys, if they are potty trained, do they often show aggression or curiosity to other animals (like other dogs or small caged pets like guinea pigs or hamsters) and other general care facts like medications and routines that you would like to be kept in place.
A typical day
I love driving out to beautiful, quiet places for walks (to name a couple I’ve done recently with furry friends: Rocky Narrows, Mary Cummings Park) but also of course enjoy a nice stroll around my neighborhood. My home is also located on 3 acres of field/forest! Down time will be lots of random toy play and relaxing together on the couch.

As I do work for the public school system, I am unavailable M T W Th F between the hours of 6am-3pm, unless it is a school holiday/vacation week. I am available all day on (most) weekends! My commute is mild and your fur baby won’t be alone for long after! Daily walks and snuggles are always part of my job as well!
