Pet care experience
Throughout my life I have taken care of my own and other's horses, dogs, cats and gerbils. I have been a veterinary assistant for 2 years and will be attending vet school eventually. I can administer any necessary medications as well as care for animals with chronic conditions. I used to manage a barn with 40+ horses and was a trainer myself as well as a riding instructor. Currently I have two cats (black Maine Coon mix and a long haired orange kitty with asthma) as well as 2 dogs (11 and 2 year old yellow labs). I have experience with everything from caring for large animals, exercising high strung puppies, to watching over shy cats. I'd love to help you care for your pet and make it the best experience for both them and you as well.

Sam has extensive experience handling both dogs and cats (she is even a veterinary assistant with a mobile veterinarian). She is an animal lover with a cat of her own and had grown up with dogs. She is a regular volunteer at the Constellation Cat Cafe and even assists with their veterinary clinics with foster cats.
Sam is great with cats and dogs! She has watched our cats multiple times and they might even like her more than us. She is also great with our pitbull even though he is easily excited and drools a lot!

A typical day
I love going for walks and everyone knows that dogs make that experience even better! One of my favorite pastimes with my own dog is to go on hikes around Lake Lansing and playing fetch in our yard.

Availability
I currently work 8-12 hour shifts 3-5 days a week, if pet sitting I can be there at 6 am and after 5 pm. Walking hours are after 6 pm.
