Hello! My name's Sam and I absolutely love this job. I moved back to the Midwest in 2020 after spending the previous 8 years in San Diego, New Zealand, and then Portland. I have really loved building ongoing relationships with more pups since being back! My favorite part of Rover is not only gaining a new companion, but I thoroughly enjoy the process of meeting people through the love of their animals (I've met two best friends on here!). I've been on the Rover platform for ten (!) years, but outside of this, I'm a certified trainer with five years of hands-on experience working in behavior modification. I've worked with fear-aggression, anxiety, dog-aggression, and basic obedience under behaviorists at The Dog Psychology Center in Los Angeles. My 200 hour mentorship was under The Mutt Mentor in Sonoma, CA. The majority of dogs I work with can be described as "selective." I'm comfortable with dogs (and animals in general) that are particular with people as I can offer a very unassuming, gentle approach that quickly earns trust.
