Experienced Pet Care Provider

Pet care experience

8 years of experience professionally handling dogs of all breeds and temperament. 5 years of experience training: manners, obedience, and off leash recall. 2 years supervising play groups of 5-20 dogs. 10 + years pet-sitting for dogs, cats, horses, ducks, chickens, and goats. As a pet professional I have taken on roles like: kennel attendant, dog trainer, and daycare supervisor, and I have had the humbling opportunity to work with dogs from all walks of life. Each of our beloved pets has a unique personality which can sometimes challenge our patience. We give our dogs and cats a huge piece of our time and attention, so much that we may forget to attend to ourselves. Even if your dog is rambunctious and difficult to train, I have tools and methods to ease the tension for you and your dog. There's no such thing as a bad dog (or a bad owner for goodness sake). Our busy modern life does not always allow us the time and resources to give our dogs what they need every day. I have one dog myself, a Rat Terrier mix who comes with me just about everywhere. She's happy to hang out at home with our cats while I'm out with your pet, but if your dog is social or needs work on becoming social, she is always ready to make a new friend! I love working with animals in any capacity, and I am excited to serve the wonderful pet owners in my community however I can.

Sam worked with me for the better part of a year at the Dog boarding kennel I run operations for. He expressed unconditional care and love for all the dogs he worked with (including his own! Lol). I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t want Sam to care for their pets. Respectful, passionate and caring are three of the many works I would use to describe sam with dogs. He is truly an animal lover. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at 8159008115

Sam has been a close friend of our family for over three years. He is a very reliable young man. He has taken care of our dogs in our home on several occasions, and always done an outstanding job. Our new puppy always dropped everything when he came. He is a wonderful dog sitter.

Sam and I used to work at a dog kennel together for a little over five years. During his time there, Sam did phenomenal work with each and every dog! He's the only person I trusted to watch my dog as well (I didn't like kenneling her). I highly recommend Sam for walking and taking care of your pet!

If you are going out of town and need a trustworthy pet professional to take great care of your home and animals, I hope you consider my service. I am punctual, respectful, and tidy. If you need a day out of the house, or some time to let carpet cleaners work in peace, or you're sick with a cold and can't get out for your usual run with the dog, I hope you consider my service. I will take your dog on a brisk morning walk, a high-octane run, a muddy hike in the rain, or anything in between. I can reinforce and assist with any training goals you may have.

Information Sam M. would like to know about your pet

I do not discriminate! I have direct experience with aggressive, rescued, sensitive, and 'difficult' dogs, especially large breeds and working breeds (GSD, Dutch Shepard, Husky, Doberman, Rottie, Pitbull) I am willing to work with any dog breed, in any stage of life. I also have quite the rapport with easy-going, active, and athletic breeds like Retrievers, GSPs, and Collies. I'm not shy around small dogs either, and they seem to like when I treat them with the same respect and structure the big dogs get.

A typical day

Walking around the neighborhood or at parks, playing fetch, stimulating training exercises, affection and attention. A stimulated dog is a happy dog! When the weather provides, I can provide hikes at any of the lovely open spaces in our town: Ute Valley Park, Palmer Park, Garden of the Gods, you name it! (Rates may vary for Hike Days)
