Okay, maybe not exactly raised by dogs but, as the grandson of a small-town veterinarian, I did grow up surrounded by numerous dogs, cats, lizards, and even a couple of goats. Because of that, it’s safe to say that I’m very comfortable around pets of all kinds, especially ones with illnesses or special needs. I am currently finishing up my last semester at UIC and recently decided to leave my part-time job as a law clerk so that I can focus on my studies… and also use some of that freed-up time as an opportunity to have more dogs in my life! For the first time in my life, I am without a dog of my own, as my current apartment sadly doesn’t allow them. (My cats are great, but it’s just not the same!) This means I only have canine exposure when I take a trip back home or when I get desperate enough to show up at my dog-owning friends’ houses to see their pups (not them). This also means that I’m very ready to shower your dog with love and affection when they’re in my care. I have dog-sat for a few friends in the past and I understand the responsibility of taking care of another person’s pet. I love being the one to take the load off of people’s minds so that they can enjoy their time away from home without having to worry about their canine friend. I know that your dog will be happy and at ease when they're with me.
