Sam was a wonderful and caring host to my dog Toby. He gave him his medications with no problem along with making sure Toby got plenty of fresh air. He even put in a back yard run! And to top it all off, Sam sent pictures and text updates daily. I highly recommend Sam.

Sam was very communicative before, during and after the reservation. Toby, a Golden Retriever, expects a lot of attention and Sam provided it. Trooper is also an "escape artist" and thankfully never got out of the house. We were very pleased with the care that Trooper received from Sam and we will definitely be using his services in the future.

Sam Garfield has a special affinity for dogs and the feeling, I believe, is mutual. Our own beagle, Bailey, was a kind of soulmate to all of us, but particularly with Sam.

Sam is a very responsible young man of varied interests who will not only care for your dog, but who will interact with and entertain him or her. He is a guy who genuinely loves dogs.

Responsible Dog Lover Giving back

Provide only the kind of service you would expect youself. That's the standard I use when I am taking care of something so precious and loved.

I like to pride myself in providing the owner a carefree experience that is tailored for their needs and accomodations. Both for dog and the owners peace of mind. I am computer/smartphone proficient and cna keep even the most vigilant pet parent informed. Communication is very important to ...

What Sam would like to know about your dog

Before meeting a dog I like to know if their are any medical issues I should know about like if he/she needs medication at a certain time etc. I also like to know if they are good with other dogs; if there is something that tips them off and if they are good with new people. Also I like to know if the use a leash, a harness, a muzzle, or some other kind of restraining device. Also very important to know especially for younger dogs their house training progression. I am very good with Hounds and dogs like Gold Retrievers as well as most sport dogs. Very high energy dogs I can handle but prior arrangements have to be made in order for me to prepare for all that energy! I don't sit terriers or very jumpy dogs but terrier mixes I am perfectly fine with.

When Sam watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
I will take our dogs on walks either around our property, our nice closed in block or if they really need the energy release the college right next week door.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Your dog will either sleep in my guest room which has its own thermostat in case your dog is sensitive to temperature or in my bedroom in case I feel they need more supervision. Anywhere they sleep they will be monitored.

Time I'll spend with your dog
As you can imagine the amount I can spend varies but I like to spend at least 7 hours a day in some capacity with every dog.
