Pet care experience
**Ask me about my discount for longer stays** I'm a full-time dog trainer who loves having dogs around! I have five years of professional experience caring for and working with dogs. I've dealt with a lot of reactivity and aggression cases, and my husband and I maintain a structured environment in our apartment to help your pup adapt and have the best, least stressful experience. Plus, there's plenty of play time, relaxing, and love on that schedule! We live in a 1-bedroom apartment and allow dogs on the furniture and in the bed. We'll follow whatever rules you have set at your house when it comes to that! We have access to a dog run that no one in the neighborhood uses, and we have a large back porch. Dogs in our home are rarely, if ever, left unsupervised while we're home. The *only* exception is when a dog chooses to sleep in another room because our place is small enough that we'll hear anything that's not sleeping. We prefer our boarders be crate trained, but we're flexible with that rule. A crate first and foremost ensures your dog's safety, and it also provides a place for your dog to decompress. We understand that some dogs do really well alone regardless, so we're willing to work on a case-by-case basis! We board a maximum of two dogs per day, and our availability will sometimes be set for two dogs, so let me know if you prefer to have your dog alone, just in case! We would never put an owner in a situation they're not comfortable with. I can bring the dogs I board to work with me, but you have to be in my company's customer system to be covered by our insurance. You do not have to purchase anything to do this. Otherwise, I have to leave your dog at home, which could be alone or with my husband. My husband can bring dogs to his job, too, but he hasn't been going in person very often during the pandemic. Don't let all of these "rules" scare you! My availability outside work often is limited, and Rover blocks your availability until you're able to respond, so I like to include some of the things I'd explain in an initial conversation in order to avoid a backlog of requests. I work with so many different clients on a regular basis and am always willing to discuss meeting on a client's level. I want to be a place in my community where people can feel relaxed leaving dogs in my care. I also don't want anyone to hold back from having fun because they have a "hard" dog because you deserve it for giving them a better life!
Reviews
Bella had a great time with Sam, as always! 😊
Sam is a great sitter! She has watched my dog several times and is always a pleasure. Easy communication, flexible with pickup and drop off, and regular updates. I know my pup is in good hands with her!
Marsha came back tired and happy! I got great pictures throughout the weekend!
Sam was great! It was my first time leaving my dog with someone who wasn't a friend or family member and Sam made it a positive experience. She would send me a picture of my dog once a day and this really made me feel at ease with being so far away from my dog. Sam was also very accomodating with the drop off and pick up times. I will definitely be booking again with Sam!

If you're in my company's system, they'd be at a dog training facility during the week. Otherwise, there'll be play time, at least one long walk a day (health issues and weather permitting), and maybe a special adventure here and there on the weekends!
