Pet care experience
I (Sam)wasn't always a dog person, until my family got one during high school. From then on, I understood how a dog could be a member of the family, and have loved dogs ever since that time. My wife Rachel and I got married in June of 2015, and have cared for friends' and family's dogs since then. We rescued our own, Ellie, in March of 2015 from Southside Animal Shelter of Indianapolis. It was love at first sight. In the spring of 2016, we picked up senior dog Gemma from the Hamilton County Humane Society. Sweet Gemma passed in December 2018. We will take care of your dog(s) as if they were our own. Whether it's just an overnight or something more, we will treat your dog with love, respect, and of course, treats if allowed!

Our pup, Freddie, enjoyed his stay with Sam and Rachel. He got plenty of love, attention, and outside play time. He was able to enjoy napping in the sunshine in their backyard and explore their neighbor on regular walks. Will definitely book again!

We had a great experience with Sam and Rachel. We were gone for 10 days and I was a little anxious leaving Hobie for that long. We got great pictures every day and Hobie seemed very happy which made us have an even better vacation. Thank you Sam and Rachel.
Sam took great care of our dog. I received updates and pictures everyday. He was very responsive and our dog seemed happy. They have a fenced in backyard so our dog was able to be outside a lot. He was exhausted when he came home!

We have a fenced in yard, and always keep an eye out for our clients. If we ever have an overlap of a day or so from different families, we take extra care to make sure they get along, and are always separated during meal times to avoid potential fights over food.

Information Sam and Rachel L. would like to know about your pet
No breed preference, we love them all! Since we have a toddler though, we have limited 100+ pound dogs, we hope you understand. Would like to know any specific/special needs, typical feeding times, treat preferences, walk details. Meet and greets are encouraged, to make sure you feel comfortable with your dog staying with us. Please note: Rover defines dog boarding as overnight for up to 24 hours past drop-off. If you need to pick up your dog after that, we may ask to charge extra- such as adding on a 1 day charge for doggie daycare if you are picking up 6-8 hours past 24 hours after drop-off. An hourly rate may be agreed upon as well depending on the situation. Thank you in advance for your understanding!
A typical day
We take walks around the neighborhood weather permitting, fetch, tug of war, and anything else pet owners request! We also allow lounging around the house. ☺️

Sam works from home and is able to give our clients as much attention as they need! We can let them out frequently and take breaks for exercise, etc.
