Hey everyone and welcome:) My name is Tamara and I have been sitting for about 6 years on Rover but for longer than that before I was on Rover(about 25 years). I used to run a dog walking business before I started on Rover but now dedicate all of my time to my Rover family client base. As a kid, I remember having a house full of pets. You name it, we had it. I have lived in West Palm Beach, Florida, for the past 15 years but am originally an Iowa native. Go Hawks! Watching your pet is what I consider a privilege. Pets and owners have a special, unique bond, and I feel so grateful to have a job where owners can trust me to provide the best possible care for their pets. While caring for your pet, I promise to provide a safe, happy, structured environment where they will feel right at home for the time you’re away. I live in a modest 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. I have put a lot of effort into making this house suitable for all different types of breeds, personality types, and physical capabilities. We have a very spacious backyard that is completely fenced in all around. So, if you have an escape artist, you can trust they’ll be safe in my yard:) As a sitter, it is my hope that owners feel comfortable to voice their expectations to me as a sitter. Please be very specific in your dogs routine, how many updates you would like to receive while away, and any behavioral quirks your pup may have. All of these things are essential in me being able to provide your pet with the best level of care possible. I am experienced in caring for both large and small breed dogs. After 25 years in this business, there aren’t many breeds I haven’t cared for at one time or another. I am also experienced in working with cats and animals with disabilities. Please just communicate to me your pets specific needs. With pet sitting, scheduling is super important. It’s how sitters are able to ensure that your pet is getting the focus they deserve when getting picked up/dropped off. Please give me an accurate time frame for when you expect to pick up/drop off. If anything changes, just communicate that to me so we can rearrange. I am both an active person and a couch potato all in one. This is perfect for owners as I can match the speed of your pet. If you have a pet that likes to spend more time chilling, we can settle in easily for some reality TV:) If you have a pet that needs tons of exercise in order to thrive, I have a huge backyard that I love spending time in.
